This house was wonderful! Exactly as the owner described. One item he left out was the water closet (toilets) in each of the master bathrooms is separated by a door which we loved. One person can get ready while the other is "you know". However, there are no doors between the bathrooms and the master bedrooms although there is a tiny hallway where the closet is located. Not a big deal for couples but just something to be aware of. Our teenagers (4 in the group) spent hours in the game room mostly playing ping pong and shuffle board. Never turned on the video games. Loved the small fridge in the game room for their drinks. There is also an extra fridge in the garage -- quite handy. Fantastic views of the mountains. We saw deer, wild turkey, and a ground hog but no bear. Thirty minutes away from Chimney Rock and Lake Lure (great lake). Twenty minutes to the grocery store and town of Black Mountain and I--40. Plenty of space, especially on the decks, for people to spread out. No car noise just great views. Large kitchen and big dining table. Also liked the kitchen bar chairs where people not preparing dinner could sit and visit and share appetizers. We could hear everyone as they went up and down the stairs and footsteps (no big deal just something to think about as you assign rooms -- if you a light sleeper you might want to sleep on the first floor). Michael (the owner) was outstanding to work with from the first inquiry email and answered all questions as they popped up during the week. Much better than dealing with a management company. Highly recommend this house if you are looking for a larger home! There are a lot of steps ---if that is a problem for you and a very steep driveway if you have a low sitting car.
