Judith's Fancy is a very quiet, gated community on the north side of the island. There is a private beach which may not be ideal for swimming, but perfect for seaglass hunting, reflection and solitude. It's about a 7 minute walk from this villa.
3 bedrooms set far enough apart in this sprawling villa layout, so that everyone feels like they are in their own corner of the world. 5 of us stayed here comfortably. (NOTE: there are NO futon/pullouts)
The master bedroom is HUGE, with a king size bed, and nice furnishings. Private access to the small bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The bathroom has another door to the livingroom area.
The second bedroom is cozy with a wall length closet, and its own entrance to the large bathroom with HUGE, open skylight shower. A separate dressing area is attached where the sink is, and the toilet is private from this area, separated by a locking door, with another locking door leading out to the pool and bedroom #3 area.
The third bedroom to the back of the villa is very comfortable. This is the room I slept in. Due to its location at the other end of the house, away from hustle and bustle of others' activities, it's perfect. The room is located directly next to the laundry room, so you have to deal with some noise if someone is doing laundry.
The kitchen, while beautiful with stainless steel appliances and center island smoothtop electric stove, we found to be small and cumbersome for so many people. There were a few basic items outdated/broken/missing, but our property manager remedied this immediately.
The livingroom is comfortable with a very large flat screen tv (basic cable/dish network is available) nestled in a huge built in hutch and hookups for mp3/ipod/other music sources which put out a great sound. A comfortable couch, loveseat, and round table with seating for 4 complete this area.
The pool area is exactly as pictured. Pool was clean and refreshing, and there were a couple of floats to relax and laze the day away. The refrigerator in the pool area DID have black mold which we reported to the property mgr.
The hammock in the yard was my favorite hang out - it's even better than it looks.
Corin is the property manager, and I can't say enough about him. He and his family live next door and while not intrusive, he was responsive with all our needs. His tips were invaluable, as was his mechanical skill when our car horn malfunctioned at 7am! He was indispensable and made us feel completely at home.
