My wife and I just spent a week here (July, 2011). The condo was great! This was our first trip to the Big Island. We wanted to do it all, but relax also. The island is spread out, so driving is a necessity. The condo is nicely located between Kailua Kona (excellent snorkeling at Kahalu'u Beach Park), Hapuna Beach (for splashing and walking in the sand, or sun-bathing), and Hilo (Saturday Market and then Volcano National Park). The Waikoloa Village Market is a short stroll and is like a mini-Safeway with everything you need. We went several times just for the nice stroll, because the condo unit already had everything we needed. Waikoloa Resort at the bottom of the hill is great for an alternative quick bite, shopping, the Petroglyph field, and an excellent beach. The pictures are exactly what the condo looks like. There are two large gas grills (not pictured) next to the pool and many times, we had both to ourselves, but there's plenty of room. The ground floor lanai was so convenient, and a MUST! Although we didn't use the convertible bed, this unit would also be great for a small family to take advantage of the pool and grill right outside the back door. From the first email inquiry to future follow-on questions, the responses were super quick and friendly. The building was very quiet (even being close to the pool) and the unit was very clean, nicely furnished and comfortable (there were times when we had to force ourselves to get out -- it would be so easy to just kick back and relax all day). Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! Mahalo and Aloha!
