.This wild and wonderful place reminds me of a romantic scene from Whethering Heights. A very interesting north island 6-sided house sits atop a rocky mountain overlooking a private beach with stone walk access. The wind and waves below give the property a romantic, wild feel, yet the gazebo, private reading areas and lush plantings create a tropical, warm jungle-like setting. The amenities are not lavish, but more than adequate and comfortable for a simple, unique island life style. The bedrooms and sleeping quarters are comfortable and relaxing .All the window panes can be opened in the back room facing the ocean, allowing the sunlight and sounds of the waves to come streaming into the house. The neighborhood is friendly, with plenty of quiet, pretty places to walk or jog. We hiked down to a nearby beach with our favorite neighbors and explored an old train tunnel, visible from the house. There is also an old historic "pirates cove" and 2 restaurants within walking distance. When the surf was up, we could see the surfers below riding the waves. The best part of our trip was hiking to the beaches and watching the iguanas, tropical birds, sea turtles, dolphins and whales from the back porch or gazebo. This is an awesome place to recharge, relax and experience the full beauty of northern Puerto Rico!!
