Fabulous, magical place

Everyone, this is an astonishingly rare find in the heart of the best part of Florence. If the location, the size and the fresco's don't' do it for you, then the quietness of the bedroom, the peaceful inner courtyard will. The owner is warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive to calls for advice and help. We would definitely stay here again - smashing place.

Truly Exceptional - Creme de la Creme

  • 5 of 5
We were fortunate enough to live a week in this amazing home in the heart of Florence. The lovely owner, Giulio, is generous with his time, showing us the apartment and sharing some of its amazing history. The original frescoes are truly spectacular, painstakingly restored at what must have been enormous expense. The antique furniture in the salon is not only beautiful, it’s comfortable to hang out in with friends and a couple of bottles of wine for hours.

As you’d expect, the beds and pillows are well cared for and comfortable (no cheap lumpy mattresses here), the towels and sheets are clean and soft, and each guest adds a little to the kitchen which had a good amount of things to cook with if you choose to do so.

There are air conditioners in each room and two in the salon, so even at the height of summer we were more than comfortable.

After showing us around the apartment, Giulio showed us around the neighborhood. It is literally steps from the Duomo – you can’t beat the location. “Eat hear, don’t eat there, best ice cream around the corner, here's where you can buy wine and beer at the best prices.” He even introduced us to the proprietors of a nice spot around the corner where he eats when he's in town.

We really can't recommend this place highly enough. It was perfect for two adults and two kids (11 and 8) and would also be ideal for four adults - spacWe were fortunate enough to live a week in this amazing home in the heart of Florence.
