We have visited Rome several times before, usually just as a couple staying in a nearby hotel. This time we came with four others & thought an apartment would be a better option – it was! We had intended catching the Airport shuttle train to Termini Station but as we missed our connection in Zurich (thanks to Swiss Air) our flight got in over six hours late. We explained the situation to Riccardo from Zurich & at short notice he agreed to meet us at the Airport & drive us to the apartment. Terrific service, particularly as we’d had enough travelling for the day!
The apartment was well appointed & very comfortable (some beds very firm), with a beautiful large living room where we could all meet up for breakfast & prior to going out for an evening meal. When we returned to the apartment from the Olympic Stadium after the rugby international we were able to watch the deciding match of the Six Nations Tournament on the big screen tv & pick up English commentary on our laptop through the free Wifi.
There is a shop a few doors down the road where you can buy fresh crusty bread for breakfast; if you can’t be bothered with that there are several local cafes/bars that are open early in the morning. Rome is relatively small for a Capital City & most of the tourist hot spots are walkable from Boheme, although bus & metro stops are only five minutes away.
All in all a great few days in a fine apartment in a beautiful City; thanks Paulo & Riccardo.
