My husband and I spent Aug. 30-Sept. 5, 2014 in C-22 at Pointe Santo with our daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren, ages 17 months and 4 years old, and we all had a ball! We we very happy that there was an elevator located near the assigned parking space that allowed us to comfortably carry up all our stuff, which was a LOT with the children! The door has a a code to unlock it, so none of us had to worry about carrying/losing a key to the condo. The 4 year old loved putting in the "secret code" each time we re-entered the condo.
When we opened the door the first time, we all said, "Wow! This is great!" Susan had told me that they had recently renovated the condo with new paint, carpeting, furniture and bedding, and it was just beautiful. The beds were very comfortable, and the addition of a twin bed (with railings provided if needed) in the second bedroom was especially nice for the 4 year old.
We were able to look straight out the condo toward the Gulf and it looks just like the picture. We were located directly above one of the several sets of BBQ grills that were available for use so we could watch the men from the balcony as they grilled out for us. The gas grills are slow, but that made the meat especially tender. The kitchen had everything we could possibly want, and the dishes, glasses, and pots and pans were nice quality, not the odds and ends thrown together for renters as some owners do.
Susan was so easy to work with. She called us on the second day just to make sure we had everything we needed and to let us know that she was only a phone call away if we needed her. It was a benefit to deal directly with the owners because we did not have to pay a booking fee with an agency, and there was also no cleaning fee, which is a substantial savings over most condos.
Be sure and visit the Island Cow for lunch or dinner. The portions are very large, so either plan on sharing or taking home leftovers! Bailey's Market is about a mile away, and it's a very nice grocery store. We loaded up at Publix before crossing the causeway but made several trip to Bailey's while we were there, and the prices are very comparable to Publix. We also spent several hot afternoons at the Sanibel Lilbrary with the children. The library has an excellent children's area and it has lots of puzzles, which kept the grandson occupied for several hours.
We all hated to leave when Sat. rolled around, but hopefully, we'll be back again.
