The Waterfall Cabin was recommended to us by friends who stayed there and said it was one of their best vacations. We went online for the information and were impressed with what we saw. We booked our trip well in advance. We were also impressed with the personal interest taken by the owner to any of our inquiries before and during our stay. We found the cabin and property to be even more than we anticipated, as descriptions and photos cannot depict the true natural beauty you will find there. From the quaint but very nice cabin, to the waterfall and streams and the tree canopied lane and much more, you enter a storybook setting. We found the cabin to be comfortable, clean and well maintained, as well as the property. The owners have achieved a feeling in the cabin of belonging and being connected for their guests. Sitting on the porch with a glass of wine, you have a sense that the peace, natural beauty and contentment of being there is absorbed through your skin and into your being. We enjoyed the charcoal grill area of the cabin as opposed to dining out--just did not want to miss the opportunity to enjoy another evening there. If you do nothing but spend your time enjoying the cabin and property whether relaxing or exploring, you will find your days full of pleasure. We did take Craig Miller's waterfall tour (Miller's Land of Waterfall Tours) and highly recommend it. We also recommend the canoe trip on the French Broad River with Headwaters Outfitters. We, too, found this trip to be one of our best vacations. It will pull at your heartstrings to leave, and you will leave with special memories to reflect on as well as wishes to return. We consider this Waterfall Cabin and property a rare find.
