There aren't enough words to describe how fabulous Casa Alegria is. The pictures don't do it justice.
The inside was comfortable, spacious and more than adequate. The living area was open so that we felt like we were together whether we were relaxing, cooking, eating...the bedrooms were large with a great floor plan. The beds were comfortable. All of us slept very well. Everything you would want or need was included including a large gas grill that was cleaned for us whenever we used it.
The outdoor patios were amazing. Every day we had our morning coffee of the deck. The views were to die for but the wildlife was spectacular. We saw beautiful birds, a pair of Toucans, a sloth, an iguana and monkeys galore. The morning we were leaving the monkeys paraded across the patio while we were there! One mother was carrying a baby on her back. It made the week for all of us!
Everyone we encountered either at the house or arranged by the house were friendly, competent, and bent over backwards to help us. The groceries we ordered were waiting for us, the van driver from the San Jose airport felt like an old friend, the housekeeper kept everything perfect, excursions, rental car, whatever we needed they helped us with.
We also loved the location. There were several terrific restaurants within walking distance. The beach was very nice. The most disappointing thing for us was that the beach access below the house was locked and the woman would not open it unless we paid her. The walk to the beach was reasonable although long but since it was straight up hill to get home, a taxi was the way to go.
I would highly recommend Casa Alegria to anyone.
