We had a great time Thanksgiving week at Keystone. The condo is lovely and met the needs of the ten of us very well. The location is perfect and the view is outstanding! We could walk over to River Run for skiing and all of its attractions/restaurants with no problem and we even found a paved path through Frostfire that worked for the baby's stroller. By using it we didn't have to use the rough path at the end of the Gateway complex. Access to River Run was quick by car and the shuttle was available if we needed it. In additon, at or near the Gateway complex there are amenities such as restaurants, ski equipment shops, etc.
The weather was different from any we'd had in the past at this time of the year in that it was warmer. I never wore my heavy coat or boots. The skies were sunny and blue with no snow. But, the kids had great skiing. Someone told them it was better at Keystone than at Vail and Aspen. Our three oldest grandchildren (almost 13, 10, and almost 5) skied for the first time. They took lessons most of the days as did our older daughter and son-in-law. It was worth it for them.
The condo, because of its windows and all the sunshine, warmed up quite a bit during the day. We turned the furnace down as far as we could and I don't think it even came on while we were there.
Amenities in the condo were available as promised. There were a few dish/pan sizes that would've been helpful as we cooked a big Thanksgiving dinner, but we managed. All the basic appliances, big and small, were there as were paper products, towels, soap, etc. The listing description was thorough and accurate. The owner was available by telephone and e-mail, readily providing answers to questions we had before and after we chose the property. We will recommend it to others and it is likely we will rent it again.
Indoor parking was appreciated very much. There were plenty of spots available for our three vehicles and it was easy to transport things via elevator up the stairs.
