We had a really great time in this cabin. . We were just talking about what a great time we had, and I remember I hadn't written a review. So, here goes....
The Cabin was very well stocked, you didn't need to bring ANYTHING but your food. The cabin was both rustic, and very well appointed with all of the extras that make your stay enjoyable. It was very clean, and the furniture was comfortable, quality, and not fussy. A lot of attention to detail. We only had a family of 4, but the cabin could handle at least 8. The master bedroom is in an open loft, so that was a little different. But, it worked out fine. The rain was delightful on the metal roof. (We had quite a storm one night, but it wasn't loud on the roof.) We used the fire pit, at night. The stars were amazing.
There was plenty to do in the area. The boys (13 and 15) really loved White Water Rafting, Tallulah State Park, The Dillard House, hiking and exploring for waterfalls.
The owner was very helpful, and worked with us for a last minute booking.
This retreat is way up on Screamer Mountain, which lends to its appeal, but the drive up and down was a bit un-nerving. That is the cabin's only drawback. And, since we are from flat Florida, and we were able to do it, don't let that stop you!
We are still talking about our trip to Screamer Mountain. The boys still bring it up! So, you know it was good!
I would whole-heartedly recommend this rental!
