This cabin is about a 15 minute drive from the main strip in Pigeon Forge. We really loved that it was close enough for us to go to town whenever we wanted, but removed enough for us to have some peace and quiet. There are some great little shops within a 5-10 minute drive that aren't nearly as crowded as the places on the main strip (Moonshine Ridge is a cute little shop that has amazing fudge!!) And you definitely should try Elvira's for breakfast. It's only a 5 minute drive from the cabin and has wonderful food! So now about the cabin...the main floor has a porch attached to the front with a very cute little seating area with a swing, and a balcony attached to the back with rocking chairs and a beautiful view. The living room was slightly small, and only had seating for 4 of us. But it was no problem because we just pulled chairs in from the dining table. My husband and I slept in the downstairs room. You can only access it by a set of outdoor stairs, which was a little unnerving at night because there isn't much lighting. But luckily we packed a flashlight, so it worked out fine. There is a nice, big hot tub on the main floor balcony, and the pool table kept the kids entertained for the whole week! I do feel the need to point out that when we first arrived, we hit a snag. I contacted the owner and he very quickly responded and took care of the issue. I really appreciated that! I'd definitely recommend this cabin. Also, do yourself a favor and read the visitors book that's kept in the living room. Some of the stories in there were really funny and it was nice to hear about other people's encounters with the wildlife in the area!
