Our group of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids) had a fabulous stay at this property last month. The house was clean, and very well-equipped for everything we could need for our vacation. All we had to bring was food and sunblock!
It's very close to the beach - closer than you're likely to be at a typical all-inclusive, just a short (2-3 min?) walk down a path. And we had it to ourselves almost the entire time - so secluded!
When we weren't at the beach the kids (6-9yrs old) were in the pool. The house is set up such that you can watch the kids in the pool from one of the open sitting areas (the covered dining area, or the lower open patio), so the kids were within eyesight, but there was a bit of distance from their (delighted) squeals. These patios also offered a fabulous view of dozens of iguanas that hung out in the treetops, munching on leaves all the time! Speaking of animals, the sounds of various birds/crickets/wildlife at night was amazing. Such a great sound to fall asleep to.
The bedrooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of towels for beach and indoor use.
The owners were quick to respond to any of our questions before and during our stay. We had a few questions upon our arrival, and they addressed what they could over the phone, and they had a local property maintenance person stop by to fix the other issue. (just fixing the light in the pool area)
The community as a whole (Palmas del Mar) was clearly affected by the recent downturn in the economy, and there were many vacant/unused properties/shops. That said, it had all the services we needed - enough restaurants (we went to the mexican place, and the tapas place) the little grocery store (small but had everything!), the marina had tour boat operators, etc.
Although perhaps not the most modern or luxurious house, it was comfortable, clean, well-maintained, and fabulously set up for a relaxing week at the beach for a big group.
I would absolutely recommend this property to friends.
