We had a wonderful week in the Thousand Islands. The location of this house is perfect for doing all the area attractions. We went to Canada several times; I highly recommend the Thousand Islands Tower; pick a clear day, there are wonderful views. There is lots to do in Kingston. If you are a gambler, there is a small casino in Gananoque. One trip back we took a ferry which was very fun and I would suggest it. A large ferry (for free!!) goes from Kingston, Ontario, Canada to Wolfe Island. There is a small ferry (about 9 cars!!!) that goes from Wolfe Island to Cape Vincent ($15-$20, depending on the number of people), a short drive from the house. Downtown Clayton had nice little shops (go to River Rat Cheese for sure!!) and there was also shopping in Alexandria Bay; not much really in Cape Vincent. I enjoyed several wineries (Thousand Islands Winery also had beer tasting! :)). I would also recommend the Uncle Sam Boat Tour out of Alexandria Bay; we did the 2-nation tour. It was just the right mix of doing things and relaxing.
The house is exactly has shown in the photos and the sunsets are gorgeous. Everything was clean and very well maintained. The water was crystal clear (and a bit cool :)). I would definitely stay there again.
