We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated one bedroom unit. It's got a wide unobstructed ocean outlook, a large lanai, and breezy interiors with good cross ventilation & ceiling fans (plus the option of AC if you need it - we didn't). The furnishings are super - the large sectional in the living room is perfect for two to recline in style, and the bedding is good with 100% cotton sheets. Options for eating include the lanai, a large dining room table, or stools at the granite counter - our favourite was the lanai. The kitchen was well equipped, including a thoughtful supply of oils, spices & condiments. The bathroom is a treat, spacious with a multi-head shower and a separate soaker tub. Everything needed of beach vacation was there for us - Tommy Bahama reclining beach chairs, matching sun umbrella, coolers, etc.
The Ekahi complex is beautiful and well maintained - lush flowering grounds, great pool options including a beachfront pavilion with plenty of shade, lots of loungers, common kitchen & bbq facilities, etc. And the beach right in front is superb - silky soft sand, gentle waves, and crystal clear waters. Snorkling at the reef just steps to the south was amazing, lots of variety of coral and all sizes, shapes & colours of tropical fish. Best of all is the location, nothing separating you from the ocean, and just 50 yards north of the beginning of the Wailea beach walk that extends for 2 miles to the south, past more great beaches and all of the premiere Wailea hotel resorts. A big thumbs up!
