Having read the reviews, I was still not prepared for my stay at this beautiful home. The community that this home is set in is private, clean and traveler friendly. This particular home is situated in a private cul-de-sac. As you travel on the brick road, you are greeted by a majestic tree that symbolizes the beauty of Mexico. This house has a HUGE front yard with a large grassed area. To the right is a pool area that is set into the earth. This area has a patio space with plenty of lounge chairs, a waterfall and ponds with turtles, AMAZINGLY beautiful. The home has plenty of space with very large sleeping and sitting areas, comfortable beds and beautifully updated bathrooms and kitchen areas. The home is close to shopping, water activities, ruins and 5th Avenue shops. The home is literally a 2-3 minute walk to the beach from the back door. In fact, the beach area directly from the home is the least populated beach as the resort areas to the left and right absorb much of the population.
During our stay, we spent a couple days around the home enjoying the amenities and spaciousness of the home. Having 11 adults and 2 small children, we played music, swam, played ping pong (also included in the home), tanned on the roof top decks (your choice of 2), enjoyed chilled drinks at the outside bar and relaxed on the hammock. There are also 6 bikes, snorkeling gear and plenty of large beach towels for travelers to use.
Patricia, the home owner, has put a great deal of thought and consideration into the needs of travelers who stay at her home. We had everything necessary to make meals and the home comes with all the clean drinking water even a large group would need. Did I mention that there is a maintenance man who regularly cleans the yard and pool and that there is a maid who comes a couple times a week to change bedding and clean? I could contact the home owner whenever necessary and she was very kind and patient in answering all my questions and concerns prior to our visit. Patricia gave a lot of good advice on places to visit, do's and don'ts.
I advise that you rent a vehicle because the ruins, Cancun, Xel-Ha and grocery shopping are all some distance and require taxi or transportation vehicles. We loved Mexico, the clean beaches, beautiful, clear, blue ocean and the home. We would not hesitate to visit the area again and stay in this home.
