The Villa is exactly as it appears in the pictures! We stayed a week. Louise is the most accommodating property manager I have ever worked with. She responds very quickly and is eager to help in anyway she can! The house keeper came 3 times during our stay and cleaned it like we were new guests every time. She is so sweet and so detailed. The Wifi worked great! There is a jug of water provided as well as many different beach things to use as well (boards, toys for littler ones, snorkle gear) We rented a car and went to XPLOR, and Cichen Itza. The tolls are VERY high to Cichen Itza ($60), so keep that in mind vs a tour. We also used the car to go to Walmart to stock up on food, but can be done via city bus. We used Carac Travel (Kerstan and Alfonso) right inside the Omni for tickets to the Pirate ship dinner and XLPOR tickets. They are great, very straight forward and no hidden agenda. Our favorite, very kid friendly place to eat was Fish Fri Tanga. Its next to Dominos on the Lagoon side of strip one bus stop before La Isla. Take the stairs down next to the Fish Stand. There is a swing set/slide for kids to play on. It was the least expensive place we found for that type of food/service. The only downside is that we were unable to purchase any type of food service from the Omni. It appears that its hit or miss on this as the guests before us were able to purchase the All-inclusive and meal vouchers, but guest in January 2014, were not (based on Guest book journals in Villa). It seems to depend on who is at the Front Desk, but I guess the policy is not to allow non Omni booked guests to utilize anything on the property except beach and pool (very warm). Overall, the Omni is well maintained. We use to stay in the Omni hotel for work over the years, it needs a new paint job, but the grounds are still very well maintained. It was a little to Spring Breaky for us with younger kids, but should be expected I guess. Overall, it was a fantastic beachfront Villa. The next time we need something this big, Louise will be the first person we call.
