My family and I so loved staying at Halloran House in Galveston! It's beautiful and is absolutely perfect for a family with grown children to spend time. The house had everything we needed - from linens to a kitchen stocked with all needed for baking and preparing meals. The 4 bedrooms with 4 baths offered us comfort and privacy. The location was out of the mainstream of busy Galveston proper, which was quite pleasant. We loved the decks that overlooked the Gulf and grounds of Pointe West. The short distance to the beach worked out so nicely for walks or longer play in the sand. Someone met up upon arrival, oriented us about the facility, the complex, and Galveston. This was all quite helpful and was a nice welcoming committee of one! The water was too cold to swim when we visited, but my family took advantage of the hot tub at the Beach Club. Tre and Clem, the Beach Club managers, were delightfully accommodating...so wanting to please. We participated in a marshmallow roast our first night in Galveston that Clem hosted, enjoying the event so much that we had a bonfire and cook out on our own at one of the three fire pits the last night we stayed. We were very taken with Galveston...the beaches were plentiful and impressive, even in December. The downtown area was interesting, the Christmas light display enjoyable, and we loved Moody Mansion. The Halloran House in Galveston was a great place to spend the holidays...and I feel certain it would be a wonderful place to visit any time of the year!
