My mother has taken us on secret trips every year for over 25 years and this was one of them. We had no idea we were going to Maryland, and this place was truly amazing. We are lovers of old houses and history an this was what we love. My two sisters and I were so surprised at the size and quaintness of this house. It was obvious that the owner took pride in what they had in the house. It's was nicely decorated with a Maryland flair. My favorite was the 3 clocks throughout the house with faces on them. The house has many rooms and we made sure that we used all of them such as the living/fireplace room where we sat and talked, had a cocktail and and appetizer. The dining room is also nicely decorated and is so inviting for a nice family dinner which we took advantage of. In addition, we sat in the very large screened in porch to talk, have cocktails and enjoy the wonderful late afternoon sunsets and evening "sounds". This was so cool!! The local supermarket, Grawl's In St Michaels has awesome fresh crab cakes and is willing to steam fresh shrimp, that was incredible! We were so comfortable in our rooms/beds. The kitchen has everything and more. We barely had a reason to leave because we just enjoyed being there as a family and played games. The view of the water and the the pier was also very pleasant. There us also a beautiful fire pit there which we didn't use only because the weather was unseasonably warm in the mid 90's. If I have any. Complaint about this place it was that we only had 1 week to stay, we all loved it so much. Plan to stay 2 weeks, cuz you won't wanna leave!
