My boyfriend and I stayed at this amazing house for 3 months while I was pregnant. It's rather difficult to be away from home while pregnant and still feel comfortable, but I always felt more than comfortable throughout our stay here. In fact, we felt that this was the ideal home away from home for us. Jennifer is a wonderful person, first meeting up with us in Colorado where we were living at the time to walk us through living at her home and answered all of our many questions (including where there might be pre-natal yoga classes and even where to buy rice milk :)) The caretakers Juan and Ruth (and their adorable 4 year-old daughter Diana) couldn't be any kinder and more helpful.... the house was always immaculate, our laundry was always washed and folded (which was a really nice break), the bedding was changed frequently, they fixed whatever needed to be worked on (the pool light broke while living there and Juan was right on it) and were wonderful, patient teachers to us practicing our spanish. Ruth even cooked us dinner one night. They are a very, sweet family and we became friends quickly, eating dinner together frequently and I really enjoyed playing and reading with little Diana. We both felt very safe with them there. We also found fresh picked flowers in the vase in the kitchen and bananas just picked off the tree out front whenever we returned from our outings. Their friendly, adorable dog Honey was lots of fun to play with (warning- you're going to fall in love with this sweet puppy and not want to leave!) This home is incredibly charming and modern, and extremely comfortable and cozy. There is a beautiful pool, washer in the garage and clothing line just beside the house, the best yoga classes we've ever taken just steps away (Horizons), the beach a few more steps down, and the most magnificent view of the ocean and jungle (you could literally sit in bed and not only watch and hear the waves crashing, but also the monkeys hanging in the trees), all within walking distance to town. I would say the only downside is that it's placed up on a hill, which makes it slightly difficult to drive to, unless you have a quad or a 4x4. We walked most of the time though, which was a great hike (and as a pregnant lady, if I could make it up and down almost every day, I bet you could too! ;-)) And that's why the view is so incredible anyway. I would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking to rejuvinate and re-energize themselves.
