We traveled from Maine with our daughter/son-in-law and two grandchildren, age 12 and 3. Well worth the trip and look forward to another trip to Seabrook and this property. The bungalow or 'villa' provided plenty of room, yet still provided privacy with baths off each bedroom. The full kitchen and grill allowed us to prepare some great meals at the house. Otherwise, we went to some great restaurants in the area.
We were lucky with the weather. Perfect everyday, yet, not ungodly hot. We expected hot, hot, hot. The air conditioning in the house was GREAT.
Activities: You could not ask for a better place to walk, bike, or hang out at the beach. Seabrook is a gated island. The beach was perfect - all sand, wide, not one rock. Seabrook Island is a fabulous place to get away and relax. As other reviewers note, there are deer and squirrels and other wild life. My grandson and I took advantage of the equestrian center and took a nice horse ride through island trails. Shopping was close by at Freshfields with interesting shops and a very nice (little pricey) supermarket. We took a day trip to Charleston which was fun. We took the carriage ride, walk through the open market, walked down to the art district on Broad St., then hung out at the park by the water. The kids enjoyed playing in the public fountains in the park, then enjoyed some local flavor at one of the restaurants in Charleston.
Our advice: go, relax, discover.
