Staying In Venice
We have recently returned from a very enjoyable week in Venice where we stayed at Casa Allegra. The flat was perfect - comfortable, clean and so convenient, being only five minutes from the Grand Canal. We especially liked the fact that two bridges away from busy Strada Nova and we were right away from all the hustle and bustle! It's the first time that we've stayed in an apartment rather than an hotel and we found the experience far more enjoyable. I'm sure this won't be the last time we visit Venice and Casa Allegra and would thoroughly recommend it to others.

Im Januar verbrachten wir zu viert eine Woche in Renatos "Casa Allegra". Die Wohnung ist sehr hell und sauber, mit allem ausgestattet, was man im Urlaub braucht und bestens geeignet für ein Paar mit zwei Kindern. Die Fotos spiegeln den Charme des Apartments sehr schön wieder. Besonders gefiel uns die Lage an zwei Kanälen. Bei geöffnetem Fenster erinnerte einen bereits beim Aufwachen das leise Plätschern des Wassers daran, an welch stimmungsvollem Ort man war.
Toll ist das Flair im sympathischen Stadtteil Cannaregio, das einerseits nicht touristisch überflutet ist und gleichzeitig zentral und in unmittelbarer Nähe von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants liegt.
Venedig bietet natürlich unzählige kulturelle Attraktionen; als sehr reizvoll empfanden wir es aber gleichermaßen, abseits der in Reiseführern beschriebenen Routen durch das Gassenlabyrinth zu spazieren und zwischen bröckelnden Hausfassaden und unter Wäscheleinen auf Entdeckungstour zu gehen.
Den Kindern gefielen besonders die Fahrten im Vaporetto, mit dem wir auch den Lido und die Laguneninseln Murano und Burano angesteuert haben, die eine Tagestour wert sind.
Sehr hilfreich waren uns bei der Anreise und während des Aufenthaltes Renatos ausführliche Informationen. Überhaupt lief der Kontakt sehr nett, vertrauensvoll und professionell - und trotz unserer kurzfristigen Buchung sehr unkompliziert. Vielen Dank dafür! Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in Venedig.

live like the locals do
Coming from Germany we spend 5 days in the Casa Allegra during Carnival season 2013. As Venice being one of our favourite travel destinations for years, we much rather decided to stay in a private apartment than in the very expensive and most impersonal hotels.
So Casa Allegra came up. The initial contact to Mr. Renato the owner was very friendly, payment was done respectable and without any doubts. Few days prior our departure we received a brochure by mail with very valuable information about the house, the area, restaurants and best of all a very detailed description of “how to get there”.
Se we found the location immediately, no problem at all. Ms. Luisa, the caretaker, was there on check in time, providing some useful information. The apartment is very cosy, well equipped, has a very good heating system, we definitely had to use, as it was cold outside in Feb.
Location is perfect – quiet and away from the tourist main stream in the typical Venician “sestiere” of Cannaregio. And best of all…when opening the windows you have a beautiful view of the small canals (2) and street around the house.
Restaurants are close by but you also may prepare a meal in the kitchen, utensils are provided. Mr. Renato’s restaurant recommendations however did not allow us to use the stove too often.
So summing up, this object is highly recommendable and convenient for a max. of 3-4 people (for couples a perfect hide away). Staying there is like feeling home and being part of the Venecian’s life. Thanks Mr. Renato for all your help and assistance. Hope we will have the chance to stay in your apt. in future again.

vis a vis vom paradies!
die wohnung liegt gleich beim "paradiso perduto", ein einzigartiges tolles lokal! sie ist interessant, da sie auf 2 seiten von kanälen umgeben ist. wir hatten im februar einen sehr kuscheligen aufenthalt dort. ein kleines manko: das kinderzimmer sprich das einbettzimmer könnte eine kleine überholung vertragen.
