Villa Gabriella is lovely. It's well equipped and well decorated for that
instant at home feeling.At all times of the day it's amazing to watch the lake and the mountains from the decks.The location is perfect for train trips to Milan, for visiting Lake Como's villas or for a hop into
Switzerland. Robin and Eric are wonderful hosts who truly care about
their visitors.We hope to return soon.

We were one of their many stops on their European Holiday.
They enjoyed the food, the peaceful atmosphere and fantastic views Lake Como and Villa Gabriella had to offer.
They dined at the best Italian restaurant on this side of the lake. 'Ristorante Bella Vista' with Chef Paolo, who studied under Famous Chef, Gordon Ramsey in London.

Excellent Getaway

Robin and Eric made our trip to the Lake Como area one we will remember with great fondness. Their kindness before, during and after our trip was extremely helpful and welcomed. We are novice travelers, and appreciated their guidance. They helped to guide us (and help us navigate a stick shift) around the area, which made our trip so enjoyable. As for the villa, we enjoyed the picturesque view each time we looked outside; it was truly amazing. The villa was as beautiful as shown and described on the homeaway site, and impeccably clean. We felt instantly relaxed and enjoyed the peacefulness of the somewhat remote area. The immediate area was charming, and we were able to enjoy the nearby surrounding areas (Lugano, Switzerland and Bellagio), too. We bought breakfast items at a local market and dined in each morning and ventured out each day. Given the location, there is a lot of walking up and down rather steep and winding streets. The immediate area shopkeepers were minimally fluent in English (our only spoken language), but we were able to navigate fine. We rented a car and drove from Milan, but knew there were buses that could be accessed in the nearby areas to explore the surroundings. If planning to drive, be aware of the narrow streets; it was an adventure for us from the Midwest (U.S.) to navigate. The ability to allow a way to connect to the Internet at the villa was helpful, too, as it allowed us to stay in touch via our laptop from afar. We brought an adaptor, too. I would highly recommend staying at Villa Gabriella, and if any of us were ever able to travel back to that area, we would look to seek out a villa owned by Robin and Eric. Villa Gabriella and the surrounding areas did not fail to disappoint. Owners Eric and Robin couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming - hosts second to none. The Villa was everything it promised to be - so comfortable and the view from the balcony - breathtaking. Lots to see and do, we packed in a very busy 10 days and loved every minute. We were a party of four adults and would highly recommend this Villa - beautifully and tastefully renovated.

This house is perfectly located for the best view. The Villa is more than clean - its comfortable, neat, lovingly furnished and all in all perfect. Eric and Robin are very caring hosts. Absolutely recommended. We will come again!
