Our Family Reunion

Our family reunion was a huge success! We had it catered...even better! Everyone loved roasting marshmallows down at the firepit and picking fresh raspberries from the abundant producing bushes nearby.
The screened porch was terrific for family meal time. Enjoyed watching the flitting hummingbirds.

What a wonderful place to celebrate my 60th birthday. My family surprised me with a trip to Mountain High and Creekside and we had a ball! You gave us the perfect place to play and rest and relax. Your whole place is comfortable, welcoming and so quiet. The porch at Creekside is perfect. Thank you so much.

Family Time in the Smokys

Hi Jan,
We did enjoy our stay in Asheville. Your cabin was very comfortable and clean. I've been meaning to email you sooner but I came home with an unwanted bug. I feel better today and was happy to hear from you.
All in all it was very relaxing. The amenities were excellent and we were very surprised with all the linens and soaps and things.The wedding was beautiful and quite memorable.
The kids(I still call them kids) were very happy with the internet availability.

Jan and Keith, We had a wonderful time at your mountain home! What a surprise for the one sister on her birthday. All eight brother's and sister's were there to greet her as she pulled into the drive. The creek was fantastic and the firepit was a special place to roast marshmellows and hotdogs. We all gathered each evening in creekside for meals and a game of pool.
Coming home from the mountain one evening two dogs followed us back and after contacting the owner, found out they were BEAR hunting dogs. You can't find that just anywhere!
We hired a professional photographer to come up to the cabin on Saturday and found so many wonderful places to have family pictures taken. Although the creek was cold some could not resist having their picture taken IN the creek! Anything anyone could possibly want was available at your wonderful and cozy home.
Thank you so much for allowing us to visit. Hopefully we will be returning soon.

Our family had a WONDERFUL time at Mountain High and Creekside. It was a beautiful setting and there was something for each of us to enjoy. Our 4 and 3 year old "grands" really liked the creek and the campfire.
My husband and son really enjoyed the pool table, and it was fun listening to them make up the rules as they played. We hiked along the trail off 151 but didn't get too far with the little ones.
We really enjoyed the pictures showing the stages of the home's development. You've really worked hard to have a great place. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Thank you, Keith and Jan, for sharing your home-away-from-home with us. We had a great time while we were there in August. We enjoyed opening the double-doors at Creekside so that we could enjoy the screened porch and listen to the creek. That was also where you would find me early in the morning enjoying the sunrise. My kids had fun turning over rocks in the creek during the day and roasting marshmallows over the fire in the evenings. We found this to be an ideal place to spread out and relax after a nice hike.

Hi Jan- had a great time and we are in culture shock coming home! The place was perfect for all of us and the kids had a blast just being together having a catch outside, making smores, playing pool. tubing. white water rafting, all the boys went to a baseball game in asheville, gem mining in franklin. piscah for picnic, horse back riding and making dinners on the bbq. thanks so much Jill

Thanks so much! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With so much family in the area, there wasn't a dull moment! And your beautiful place was the focus of many family gatherings. And yes, my 90 year old mom was thrilled with the home and the weather. Even though it's a rural setting, it still seemed close to all one needs. Count on us for next year!
