About Todd Ottenstein

Adirondack-Vacation is owned and operated by Todd & Kimmy Ottenstein. The Ottensteins are a fun loving couple that takes great pride in all of their homes. They love to ski all winter, beach all summer, and are gourmet chefs who love to cook and entertain. They are constantly looking for improvements that can be made to the homes that will give you the best vacation experience possible. During your vacation, they are on call to handle any issues that may arise and be your knowledge base of the greater Whiteface area.

The property manager for all of our homes is Steve Hall. Steve, his wife Wendy, and their son Alex manage the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge just down the street from the homes and take great pride in showing visitors the many animals that call the refuge home. During your stay, their team is available to answer questions, solve issues and ensure that your vacation is one to be remembered for many years. They also encourage all of our guests to stop by and check out the refuge for a fun, educational outdoors experience.

With a handyman service located near-by, the homes are kept in immaculate condition. Should any issues arise during your stay, they will be taken care of promptly and professionally. Our handymen are extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the homes and are constantly working to ensure all aspects of the homes are working perfectly.

The Ottensteins are extremely consciences of the local economy and the environment and have built their homes with these factors in mind. Local craftsmen have built the homes using locally milled lumber. The homes also have synthetic green siding. Durable siding reduces demand for harvesting, extracting raw materials & reduces waste.

All of the homes use a solar water heater. We like having a solar water heater because besides saving you money, solar water heaters also provide big benefits to the planet by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, and demand for fossil fuels.

We had an exellent stay here at the Olympic Dreams. What fun it was to be here and enjoy the 2010 games on the tv while curled up by the fire. The hot tub did a great job soothing our sore muscles from snowboarding on whiteface. Can't wait to come back! Thankyou for a memorable trip and a great first rental experience. Be back soon.

Todd and Kim,
Thanks for your terrific home. The six of us (me,my husband, two daughters, and two dogs) had a wonderful time. We loved the gas fireplace and especially the hot tub which we all put to good use every night! Our pups were happy not to be home alone and long walks by mirror lake. Highlights for us included skiing at whiteface, snowtubing at gore, toboggan, dog sled rides on mirror lake (the toboggan is fun every year). The messgae at the Inn at mirror lake (really terrific)! Favorite resturaunts were McDougals for wings, and a good margarita, Lisa G's for everything, Milano for the kids ziti, Casa de sol fore mexican and The Wilderness for being like goin to grandmas house. We also loved the olympic theme especially since were here during the games!

We had a great time staying in you chalet. We made great use of the kitchen (lots of bacon), and the robo shower 9000 also seemed to be a favorite. We even ventured into the hot tub when the temp was 1'F oustide (worth it). Your displays of the heineken kegs are impressive we are leaving one more behind for the collection. Thanks again.

Dear Todd & Kim,
Your cabin/chalet was great. We had an amazing time. The bathroom downstairs is really cool thankyou for giving us instructions to that. The view was wonderful, especially when it snowed. We enjoyed watching dvd's around the chimney. We own a very large city dog who spent his time in your spacious backyard. There was a lot of room for storage and comming back to the warm house after skiing/snowboarding was great. Thankyou.
