We and several of our friends stayed at this house
while we were in town for a Wilmington wedding.
We were blown away when we walked in the door.
The expansive, historic downstairs feels luxurious
(that and the fact that there is a beautiful huge
kitchen, which adjoins a laundry and fridge room,
which adjoins a bar pantry, which adjoins a large
dining room with seating for 10.
The rooms are all very lovely and well maintained.
The large back yard is another huge plus- it has a
swing set for small children, a grill, a patio with
furniture. We loved this place so much we
convinced the owner to let us add on a day for just
the two of us when our group left. It's within 30
mins of either Wrightsville beach or the southern
(Kure and Carolina) beaches, and its a long pleasant
stroll to the downtown waterfront. We can't say
enough good things about the place- I am already
plotting how to get back.
But the best thing was really the attentiveness of
Natalie, the house's owner, and of Libby, a nearby
neighbor who checks you in and makes sure
everything is in good operating order. We were
there on a record -breaking hot day and she
brought a big fan over for one of the upstairs
bedrooms that gets a lot of sun during the day.
