Unforgattable Holiday

We stayed at Casa ai Tribuni for 6 nights during our New Year Holiday and had a wonderful time.The apartment was comfortable and local area was safe.It was close to the Metro station (line A), about 10 minutes walk with 2 little kids.Besides,you can take the bus 32 to the Vatican museum directly(or 15 minutes walk).Bus 271 (the same stop with Bus32) will go to Castle St.Angel ,Capitoline Museums, Colosseum and Baths of Caracalla directly.
Massimo was great and very helpful.Our train from Florence was delayed.He waited us in the apartment for a long time with a bottle of welcome wine.I couldn't find the hairdryer in the first day and wrote an e-mail to Massimo the next morning.He sent us one within 30 minutes.
The last day,we were allowed to check-out in the afternoon because there were no coming guests on the same day.Finally,Massimo drove us to the Metro station.Helped us out of the predicament in walking in the rain with 2 little children and 2 big pieces of luggage.

My friend and I recently stayed at Casa ai Tribuni for a girls' week in Rome. The apartment was nice and clean and in a good location. It was close to a metro station (from which you can easily get to most of the sights) and the Vatican, lots of little restaurants and shops. The neighborhood was quiet and as women travelling alone we felt safe walking around, even at night. The apartment is small and does not have a view or balcony, but if you are looking for a comfortable, convenient place to keep a few things in the frig and sleep after a long day of sightseeing, this is a great place. The host, Massimo, is very, very helpful. He is truly committed to making sure all of his guests have a good stay. The airline lost my luggage so we were 1 1/2 hours late getting to the apartment, but Massimo was still waiting there for us (thank heavens, because it was dark by that time). He also drove me all the way to the airport and back to get my luggage the next day, which was really above and beyond the call of duty. I would recommend this property for travellers who want a quiet little place to crash at the end of the day. We had a great time!

When you approach the door (ground level, yes!!) to the apartment, there's a moment of trepidation, the immediate street itself is not particularly lovely, though it's in a lovely area in general, and NOT TO WORRY! This apartment is wonderfully located, close to Vatican City (easy to walk) and to banks, groceries, buses, street markets, good restaurants and pizzerias... and it's wonderful to wake up in your own apartment and make breakfast without having to get out of your pajamas! You can save lots of money making your own breakfast, too.
Your host, Massimo, is caring and helpful (and handsome) and has lots of good suggestions and a notebook with lots of helpful information. He keeps good contact via email, too, and can help arrange your transportation from the airport, etc. He was a real lifesaver for us, and I would rent from him again in a heartbeat.
If you're wanting a balcony-and-romantic-view sort of place, then this is not for you, but if you're wanting to spend lots of time out in Rome and seeing things, but want to feel like you can drop all your cares in your own apartment after lots of sightseeing, etc., then this is your place, with location, comfort and affordability.

A home away from home...

...is the best way to describe Casa Ai Tribuni. During my second visit to Rome, I only had a short weekend stay at the apartment. I arrived on Friday evening and Massimo was wonderful to ensure I felt at home. He has done much research and compiled a binder that answers all the questions a guest could ask. Complete with a map and locations of some nearby restaurants as well as sites. The information really helped this American to feel secure to settle into my sorroundings. I made the short walk to the Vatican/St. Peters without a problem and was surprised by the close proximity to the Metro. I have a keen sense of direction and my only concern was my ability to find the apartment in my travel back in the darkness. In Rome, I find the apartment buildings begin to look alike, but I found my way back without a problem. Once I achieved this small milestone, the rest of my stay was without concern. To be in Rome and staying in an apartment gives a true sense of what life is like for the people who live in the Eternal City. Thank you Massimo for a safe, clean, easy to navigate place to stay. Next time I come, I might even bring the kids!!!

Excellent place to stay in Rome

Massimo is a great guy. He is very organized and helpful.
I stayed at the Casa Al Tribuni apartment for 10 days in August 2008. The apartment is well located near shops, markets and transportation. I used several of the buses often and also the metro. It is an easy and short walk to Vatican City, about 10-15 minutes. I enjoyed the opportunity to stay in a quiet apartment with AC & internet where I could relax and do some cooking.

I was travelling through Europe for 3 weeks with my 2 sons (both under 12) and had my credit card and debit card stolen in Ireland. Rome was near the end of the trip, and we stayed here for a week in July.
Massimo came and picked us up at the metro because we were getting in late, and drove us back at 7:00 a.m. - he was also very helpful and assisted me in getting cash from home. He was very gracious and genuine.
The apartment is very quiet, and the boys loved it. We cooked in a lot, and Massimo gave us many great tips for places to eat and things to do. It made for a very enjoyable stay
We would definitely stay here again!

L'appartamento è in una strada tranquilla ma comoda a negozi e servizi con entrata indipendente in uno stabile in ottimo stato. L'interno dell'appartamento è ben arredato, con gusto e mobili nuovi. L'impronta è classica, ma una serie di dettagli (faretti, lampade da tavolo e a pavimento di design, cucina con forno microonde, TV a schermo piatto in sala e in camera da letto.....) lo rendono di sapore attualissimo. La cura dei dettagli e la pulizia sono più che eccellenti. Il letto matrimoniale è soppalcato il chè lascia quindi una ampia area soggiorno. Segnalo internet fastweb perfettamente funzionante, come peraltro ogni altro elettrodomestico nella casa. Cucina ottimamente accessoriata. Un'ultima parola sulla gentilezza, disponibilità e signorilità del proprietario: assolutamente ineccepibili per cortesia e flessibilità rispetto alle mie esigenze. Davvero una perfetta accoglienza in un bellissimo appartamento!
