Perfect Holiday
We booked a three week stay in a 3bed/3bath townhouse. After a long flight from Gatwick we arrived at reception. 5 minute check-in and drove round to the house. We booked the right place - about 200yds from reception. House was clean and tidy with all ameneties and extras just as stated on owners website. By the way, the owners website did it for us when we booked. Very informative, loads of pics, tips and ideas, and everything he said was true. First night was 2 minute drive round to Publix to stock up. Next day after a swim we drove the 3 miles to Cagans Crossing to the Wal-Mart. After UK shops this place was impressive - it was a job to stop my missus spending less than two hours in there at a time.
The resort was good, and the pool and lazy river perfect for both kids and adults. The little shop on the resort was a bit expensive, but with two big supermarkets within three miles why complain about paying the resort prices? Restaurant and bar were OK, if a little expensive, but a ten minute drive and you are on the US192 which is packed with shops, bars and every kind of eatery you could hope to find. Some excellent meal deals and all you can eats every few yards.
Regal Palms is far enough away from Orlando and Int Drive to make it peaceful if you want it, but close enough to all the hustle and bustle if you care to spend 25 minutes driving to get there. Disney Parks, and all the other attractions a no more than 35 minutes away, all well signposted, and easy to find. Driving on the US roads was a pleasure for me after driving a rather large truck around the UKs roads.
The attractions themselves were very impressive. We did all the Disney parks, plus Seaworld and Aquatica. All were clean, tidy and lots of fun, with the bonus that by going in May we found them to be a bit quieter than at the height of summer. If you want a great day out for everyone, you have to visit the newly opened Auatica water park. Absolutely brilliant for kids and adults.
Overall we were very impressed by Regal Palms, and our choice of house. Simon is from the UK, is very friendly and approachable, and his description of the place was 100%.
On the subject of the timeshare - during our three week stay we were asked only twice if we wanted the tour. We said no thanks we have too much to do, and that was it. No bad feelings, no hard sell and we were still treated as guests.

Great holiday property
Have just returned from our holiday staying in this property and really feel that it is worth writing review about (not something that I would normally do!)
The house is exactly as described and photographed; very spacious and clean and located on a resort with everything you could possibly want. Regal Palms staff were very accommodating and the whole resort was spotlessly maintained. We found that staying here afforded a much more pleasant stay for being able to get away from the Disney 'merry-go-round' than if we had stayed in one of the Disney resort hotels.
Dealing with Simon, the owner, was a breeze. His website gave masses of info, including excellent directions from the airport (even to the level of including photos of the roadsigns to look out for en route) and a 'back road' way to get to the theme parks avoiding the congestion on the main road.
We stayed here on the recommendation of a friend, and I am more than happy to pass on this recommendation.to anyone else considering holidaying in the Orlando area.

'Well what can we say that is new about the holiday at Regal Palms that has not already been said before? Having a whole house to ourselves and so many facilities on site gave us so much more and we really appreciated the greater sense of freedom to do what we wanted when we wanted. We were far more relaxed and felt no pressure to be out seeking thrills, & therefore we have more in store for our next visit although there were plenty of thrills that we tapped into, as this is almost mandatory with a Florida holiday. Regal Palms staff were excellent and the food in the restaurant was above average and not overly expensive. Nice bar especially on the ‘two for one’ nights and my son and I took full advantage of the offer. Our whole family loved the pool area spending many hours relaxing & swimming, except for the wife who just manages to float with assistance(!) We found the travelling from the Resort to the Attractions was no great problem.
