My family and I just returned on Friday from staying in the Honey Bear cabin. We had a wonderful time! Especially our 3 year old, who didn't want to leave. She said the cabin was the best part of the trip! It was very nicely decorated, and well supplied with towels and starters, such as toilet paper, paper towls, soap, etc. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for meals. The photos were dead on with how the cabin looks in person. The king bed in the master was really comfy, and the fireplaces really helped take away the chill after coming in from the outdoors. We really enjoyed relaxing afternoons in the hot tub. It was very quiet where the cabin was located, which made for great relaxation! We would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away. It was the perfect location, right in between downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and only took a few minutes to get to each. The road up the mountain to the cabin wasn't too windy or narrow, but I would still recommend 4 wheel drive if it snows. We took our Honda, and only had trouble on one part the day after it snowed, but that was mainly to do with the car's VCS system kicking in on an icy spot, and making the car break while trying to get around a corner and up a hill! If we'd taken our truck, we doubt we would have had that issue. Other than that, the car was perfect for the trip. The roads through the area and up where the cabin is were constantly getting plowed through the day, and we only ended up with a few areas of icyness in the shadowed places where the plows couldn't reach. All in all, excellently done! Randall was excellent to work with, and his hospitality was wonderful, answering any questions or concerns we had! You will not regret renting this cabin!
