Log Home - 4 Bedrooms + Loft + Den+Tipi - 3.5 Baths - (Sleeps 8-10)

Experience a real Pacific Northwest Lodge Style Home, the log construction makes this multi-level home warm and inviting. This 3000 sq foot log home has 4 large bedrooms with 3.5 baths that are on each level of the home as well as a 20 foot Tipi that serves as the 5th bedroom during summer. As you enter this gated three-acre park like setting and walk down the steps to this very inviting home you will experience the natural tranquil pond with delightful waterfall welcoming you to Timber Lodge.

Walk through the front door of this impeccably maintained home ideal for entertaining. The first level offers magnificent westerly water views across Eastsound and Gulf Islands, beautiful upscale lodge-style furnishing with designer touches, wood pine floors throughout. Other features include large open beam ceiling in great room with open-hearth fireplace, large open gourmet style kitchen with granite counter tops with every amenity a gourmet cook will require.

Dining room with fireplace, two propane stoves, a cozy loft with queen size sofa bed, TV with Sony Playstation. Upstairs has also has an office set up for guests that need to stay in touch with work while on vacation, free long distance, 3-in one printer, fax machine and wireless high speed internet, abundance of books and games for the entire family.

The game room features a billiard table, dart board and player piano. A new feature that has recently been added is an Optional Home Theater room with surround sound system, 105' projection TV with recliner seating for 10 guests. The home also has a six person hot tub which is located on the deck next to the master bedroom that has an overhang so that the hot tub can be used all year long. The cabin has massive wraparound decks for outdoor enjoyment and relaxation.. Enjoy an easy walk to Rosario Resort or Moran State Park.

Summary of Rental Fees:

*Rate Information: Our rates are based on the total number of bedrooms required during the entire stay. Each bedroom is considered to be double occupancy. We only rent to one family/party at a time, this is not a shared house rate like a B&B. If not all bedrooms are ordered we close off the bedrooms that are not going to be used. We have a flexible reservation system so if you are not sure of the number of bedrooms at time of booking you can add sleeping capacity up until 7 days prior to arrival.

* The base 1 bedroom rate is shown on the listing rate schedule. Each additional bedroom is $50.00 per night, plus tax and $25.00 extra per bedroom for cleaning.

*Reservations Deposits: A 20% deposit is required at time of booking, the balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.

Reservation Deposits and Payments: For the protection of our renters the only form of payment we accept is credit card or echeck through our own reservation system or through the VRBO our HomeAway listing site. We will never ask a renter to send us any payment by a wire transfer service.

* Application Fee - $35.00 (waived for repeat guests)

* Damage Insurance - $45.00 (required to rent this home).

* Nightly Rate Adjustment - $50.00 each additional bedroom

* Cleaning Fee 1 bedroom - $225.00 each additional bedroom $25.00.

* Sofa Beds (optional) $65.00/nt two available

* Time Change Option - $20.00/hr Early or Late Check out (not available on back to back bookings)

*Home Theater Room (Optional) $50.00/nt.

* Day Guest Visitors - $10.00/ per person maximum of 2 days guest visitors (only available if our maximum occupancy has not been exceeded).

* Pet Fee - $25.00 /nt based on pets 25 lbs or less for pets over 25 lbs. $10.00 additional fee.

* Refundable Security Deposit - $250.00

* Refundable Pet Deposit - $100.00

Minimum Stay Requirements:

* June, July and August 7 night minimum (Sat - Sat only).

* We will consider shorter stays during the peak season if a full week stay has not been booked by the 15th of April, a surcharge of $250.00 will be charged for less than 7 nights.

* Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve week 5 nights.

All other Federal Holidays 3 nights and minimum of 4 bedrooms must be ordered for the entire stay.

* Balance of the year 2 nights

About Lisa Strauss - Timber Lodge

My husband and I handle all of our own properties and do business under the name of Vacation Holdings. We are a trusted member of the Vacation Rental Industry and a member of the Professional Vacation Rental Association. We have been in business for over 10 years and have the highest integrity. We are not a management company these are all of our own properties. This enables us to describe the home in great detail. I am an interior designer so all of our homes have been designer decorated. In addition all of our vacation homes are maintained by a caretaker so that the property is well cared for and our guests are given individual attention. I respond to inquiries within 10 minutes of submission or give us a call as we are super easy to reach. It is always our goal to exceeded your expectations!

We had been exploring different States on the West Coast for where to purchase our second vacation rental home when we discovered the San Juan Islands. On the flight over from Seattle we were totally taken back by the beautiful scenery. We viewed property on all three islands but, by the time the ferry landed on Orcas Island we knew instantly that this was the island for us. I had seen the photos of Timber Lodge on the internet so I was excited for the agent to show us the home. We had pretty much decided if it was as good in person we were buying it. The moment my husband and I stepped into the front door we were awestruck and said “where do we sign”. It was so much better than we expected and had the real rustic Lodge feel. Best of all was it was on three acres of privacy and had much better ocean views than we imagined. We wanted something totally unique, rustic with a true feeling of the Northwest and we had found what we were looking for a vacation cabin that we could really call 'truly spectacular'. The greatest feature of this genuine Log home is every wall in the home is truly made out of logs. Log homes are known for being cooler in the summer months and nice and warm and cozy in the winter. My favorite time to visit Timber Lodge is in the cold winter months when we have a fire going in the great room and can sit down with a nice cup of tea and enjoy the beautiful scenery and the magnificent views of the sound.

What makes this cabin unique

Wonderful views, true rustic log home with furnishings that is really well suited, very cozy in summer as well as winter, fantastic home theater room and Tipi bedroom is very unique.

Also, another major benefit in renting from us is we have a legal vacation rental permit and proudly list our permit number on all of the listing sites. Guests can be reassured by renting from us that you will not have the worry of losing your lodging and your vacation spoiled by renting from an owner that is operating an illegal rental.

In this house, this home, we've found a place for families to come together to reconnect, relax, play explore, revel in nature. It has been a magical time full of all those things and more. Second stay at your lovely Timber Lodge

This is our second stay at your lovely Timber Lodge. Brought our 7 year old grandson and he loved his moose bedroom! Our 20 year old granddaughter came for a week later and didn't want to leave. We also had other relatives visit and friends from Texas. We hiked, kayaked, swam, saw eagles, dolphins, seals and starfish. Feed the deer and birds saw plays and chamber music. Time has flown and now we have to go home. Thanks again for sharing your lovely home with us.

What a wonderful island and beautiful log house! We've enjoyed our week here so much and was a special treat to celebrate our parents "50th wedding anniversary". The views and sunsets from the deck have been awesome! Loved all the wildlife, especially the tame deer and huge bald eagles. Had a memorable meal at Ship Bay Inn and loved our whale watching trip (although we were disappointed not to see any Orcas) Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us!
