Stunning apartment, brilliant location

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights in Sept 2010. Simona has paid real attention to detail in the furnishing of the apartment and the location is excellent. The afternoon we arrived we sat on the balcony and could just hear a lady practicing her opera arias from her house on a nearby street - a magical start to our stay in Florence! As described in the listing, it has all you will need for the stay - washing machine, dish washer, iron and board, even mosquito scarers! Simona's sister checked us in and out - on time, very courteous and no problems at all with return of deposit. All facilities worked well and there was a big bowl of fresh ripe fruit on the table to welcome us and a book she'd written to advise on local amenities. When we go back to Florence we'll be staying here if it is available though I have a nasty feeling that it will be permanently booked up by competing guests!!

This is a lovely jewel of an apartment in a fantastic location in Florence. Everything was immaculate and details of possible needs were well attended to as well. The apartment is teeny but was perfect for 3 people.

Perfect apartment right in the heart of Florence

Simona met us and made us feel very welcome with a gift of tomatoes and plums from her garden. This beautiful apartment had everything we needed, and it was particularly nice to have coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil and wine vinegar supplies in the kitchen. There are shops and a supermarket within 100 yards, and a larger (by Italian city standards) supermarket 300 yards away which stayed open until 21.00.There is no oven nor freezer (there is an ice-making compartment which kept semi-freddo cool but not frozen) so we had to adapt our cooking a little.
The opera-singing neighbour only practised once during our stay, but it was good while it lasted. This is a tranquil apartment. The air conditioning was essential (we stayed in August) and was very effective. The bed linen is high quality, we had three towels (one bath and two smaller) each. There are steps up to the living room, and one step to get to the bedrooms so I would be wary of bringing toddlers or young children.
If we re-visit Florence we would happily stay here again.

Superb apartment and location, best hostess

Our stay in Simona's apartment was just superb. Tucked discreetly away from the main pedestrian traffic, yet just a moment's walk from the heart of Florence, the location just couldn't be better. What a refreshing, safe and most comfortable retreat with incredible use of space. The apartment feels much bigger than it is. We are a family of 5 with 2 young boys, yet the layout offered space and peace for all. It is newly refurbished and Simona's attention to detail leaves you wanting for nothing. Booking online accommodation can leave you apprehensive but rest assured, Simona will not let you down. She communicated most helpfully with us (her English is superb) before we arrived, was waiting for us on our arrival, told us where to store our car, called taxis for us and greeted us most warmly. She continues to help us even now, after we've left Italy. Should I be fortunate enough to return to Florence, I will most certainly ask to return to this apartment. I cannot recommend it highly enough - a very lucky find

Perfectly Appointed-Amazing Service ..5 stars!!

Simona was so helpful, before we arrived she helped answer questions and gave us information to hire drivers and plan our stay while in Florence. She welcomed us warmly and even showed us how to make coffee and gave us even more information on the area... priceless. The apartment was beautifully decorated, clean and well maintained and has everything you need. A wonderful patio to sit on in the morning or evening and talk about the day. Many delightful restaurants such as theTratorria Anita, Francescovini and Santa Croce museum within a few short steps. The Uffizi museum 3 blocks and the Arno River 2 blocks. There is an internet cafe 2 blocks from the apartment for those who need to keep in contact... my teens went every afternoon before dinner while my husband and I went to a cafe and had a glass of wine. Wonderful pastry shops and cafes within steps a truly wonderful experience. When we return to Florence... we will stay at this wonderful apartment again. Simona is a hostess like no other... Grazie!

A hidden gem in the heart of Florence!!!

Now it's all about location! I couldn't have imagined any better: it's right behind the Uffizi gallery in the middle of the bustling downtown and yet hidden in a quiet street. Just a hundreed meters and you can enjoy the florentine dolce vita or buy well-known italian dainties in one of the many next-door grocery stores and self cater. The kitchen is supplied with evt one might need and the terrace is spacious and has a lovely view.
But most of all I would like to thank Simona for being such a wonderful host, warm and welcoming. She helped me immensely with planning this trip, answered all of my questions and even booked the restaurant for us! I would definitely come back again to this lovely Via Venegia apt when I get a chance!

This apartment was perfect for our month long vacation in Tuscany. We had everything that we needed - an ideal location, well equited kitchen, comfortable furnishings, a lovely terrace and a perfect hostess. Simona was so welcoming and helpful! Wtih 2 bedrooms we were able to have our adult children visit us and had plenty of room and they loved it too! Staying in central Florence made our travels so easy wheter by foot, train or bus. We even rented a car to visit the beautiful Tuscan towns. When we visit Florence again we will rent this apartment with no hesitation!! Grazie, Simona!!

Centrally located, the apartment is in walking distance to all the major attractions of Florence. The apartment is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and everything you need is supplied. Terrace.... Flowers..... Perfect !!

This apartment surpassed anything we had expected. It’s on a narrow back street that didn’t allow for a lot of traffic but take a few steps and peek around the corner and you will find great restaurants (Trattoria da Benvenuto), a grocery with cold cuts and all kinds of delights (gelatos in every flavor), main streets and various piazzas (Piazza Sta. Croce and Piazza della Signoria) offering cathedrals, free evening concerts, sculptures, local artists selling their paintings, and fountains.
The kitchen was small but perfectly designed with everything needed to cook everything from a light breakfast to a full family meal. The dinette comfortably fits a family of six around its antique table. There is a living room with polished wood floors, sofa and two very comfortable chairs that sit next to two large windows giving a perfectly relaxed setting for reading or just talking after a busy day of sightseeing. The flat screen TV with cable adds a modern amenity to a room with wonderful ancient wood beams across the ceiling.
The bedrooms were large and tastefully decorated with individual air conditioning in each room, beautiful armoires, side chairs, and night lamps. The bathroom is modern, meticulously clean and also very tastefully decorated. The highlight of this apartment is a wonderful private terrace just off the dining area that overlooks the street below. It has flowers and plants all around with a bench and seats - a great place to sip a glass of wine before bed.
Simona, the owner is a delight. She’s warm, friendly, and a true professional. She takes pride in making sure your stay is everything you dreamed of by including special touches throughout the apartment such as the great scents in each room, little sachets hanging from the armoire doors, etc. Simona knew that we were celebrating an anniversary and she had a beautiful flower arrangement waiting for us along with a fruit and cookies platter. This apartment looks good on the internet but is actually much much better than it looks. If anyone is looking for accommodations in Firenza, this is the apartment is the one to stay in !
