This is a beautiful large one bedroom apt located on 119th Street between Lenox and 5th Ave, with all amenities included in a fully renovated landmark brownstone with a chef's kitchen stocked with all cooking needs. Flat screen TV with cable connection, Wi-Fi, and a sleeper sofa in the living room for extra sleeping quarters. There is also a home office in the bedroom for those that need to do some work during their stay.

High ceilings, exposed brick, ebony hard wood floors - very contemporary and comfortable for your long stay in New York.

Don't overpay on eating out every night, make a home cooked meal in this top of the line kitchen! Washer/dryer in the apartment for daily laundry needs as well.

Trains nearby (check out hopstop dot com), park around the corner, shopping, movies, entertainment all near by, great food as well!

About Amal

I am a chef/caterer as well as a professional buyer in the food/consumer goods industry. The husband is an entrepreneur who puts too much faith in me! We have two young boys who keep us busy and young. Together we are a strong and passionate team of four who work hard and play even harder! We love Harlem and everything it has to offer, and are forever spreading the word on this amazing neighborhood.

Why Amal chose Harlem

When I met my husband over 7 years ago all he talked about was Harlem, he was rootly involved in the rehabilitation of many Brownstones back when no one wanted to be there, and was passionate about owning a part of history. He was very specific about what he wanted, and sent me out in the jungle with his list to find it. And I didn't fail. Five years and two gorgeous boys later, our dream of owning a Brownstone in the historic neighborhood of Harlem came to fruition, and we couldn't be happier to share it with the world. We hope you enjoy the neighborhood, culture and soul as much as we do. We love waking up in the morning and strolling the streets of the city. There is really nothing like it (except a great cup of coffee).

I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of this apartment. Top notch amenities (including much needed washer and dryer), with a bed to die for. Wonderful and historic neighborhood, and Amal was a very responsive host. I definitely plan to stay here again.

We were really happy with this apartment. The overall feel of the space was both comfortable and trendy. Great kitchen! The short walk to the subway gave us easy access to midtown and the rest of Manhatten. We also enjoyed walking around the area and checking out some of the local restaurants, and the walk to the northern boundary of Central Park was pleasant. We were there for four nights and felt that it worked out great for us, especially compared with hotel prices. We would definitely stay there again.

Brownstone was great- want to stay again

The brownstone was a great experience. Amal's husband was in our brownstone when we arrived, so we got the opportunity to tour the other apartments. We sat on our stoop in the mornings, drank coffee and met the neighbors. It was nice to be on our own time schedule. The subway was close, so travel was very easy. I absolutely fell in love with Harlem and have an entirely new appreciation for this area. I have told everyone they need to stay at this brownstone and not at an impersonal hotel. Can't wait to go back!

We stayed at Amals appartment in the week before hurricane Irene.
The appartment is in excellent shape, very good located close to subway in central Harlem.
It is very clean and fully equipped. Amal is always online, supporting in any way one needs.
We enjoyed it as refugium to enter NY as a family with 2 parents and 2 children;
when we will get back to NY we will ask Amal first for vacancy!!

The apartment is great! It has everything you need for 1 - 3 guests. It is very close to the subway, market, and shopping. The neighbors are all super nice and very welcoming. The owners are also very warm and make you feel right at home. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a 'real NYC living' experience in place of a hotel.

great stay in N.Y.

We really had great stay at the brownstone apartment. The house was spacious for three of us, the kitchen well equipped and the bed was the best bed I’ve ever slept in! Everything in the house was clean and the house smelled of fresh. I do insist on this point because I think it’s an important detail to for other future guests.
Plus great position, safe neighborhood of Harlem, subway just few minutes and no noise in the street during the night.
Absolutely a positive experience!

Great apartment, with very nice furniture and everything one might need...Great appliances. Good info provided in apartment book. Also a very safe and pleasant neighborhood with good transportation links, good access to restaurants and grocery stores, etc. Very quiet at night. Hosts very welcoming.
Lack of central air conditioning (instead, a window one in the bedroom) was a little bit difficult as living room (used as bedroom at night) tended to get quite warm. Would nevertheless go back with pleasure and recommend to friends !
