This property is as close to the ocean as is possible. There are only a few other properties along the coast which are as close to the ocean. Fall asleep and wake up the to gentle, soothing sounds of the ocean!

Surf, swim and walk or jog on the beach from this coastal retreat in the harbor town of Oceanside. This is a one bedroom, one bath and is fully furnished with all amenities cable, Internet, phone and free laundry room. You can wake to the sound of the surf and have breakfast overlooking the blue Pacific. The unit is walking distance to the pier, harbor, shopping and dining with freeway and transit service minutes away. Local attractions such as Legoland, Zoo and Sea World are within 30 minutes from this 'Cottage by the Sea' Stay a week or a month and 'Make the most of the Coast'.

Closet property to the water!! : This unit is the closet property to the water, along the Oceanside beach. There are only a few properties/units that are as close.

The views are magnificent!! The sounds, smells and sensations of the ocean are a constant reminder that you are at the beach. Fall asleep and awake to the sounds of the ocean without having to open the door and go outside!!

A very memorable weekend!!

Thank you, for sharing your cottage with our family. Our weekend was priceless. My family and I created many memorable days. Where days went by but time didn't matter. We spent our days building sand castles and walking along the water. Our evenings enjoying the sunset, all four of us. Our night just my husband and I, we sat on the rocks, drinking wine, while the kids slept inside - just steps away. We found a place where time stops and our life could begin again. I love how you keep the cottage in its original era, where time was simple. Where television or electronic devices weren't families center focus. However, they were still available for people if needed.

Arlene, awaited our arrival and greeted us with a candle lit evening and bowl of fresh fruit. She was very welcoming to my family and I.

Thank you for a wonderful beach experience!

Family Getaway

My family and I stayed at this cottage June 2010 and we had a GREAT time. The owner is wonderful, accommodating and pleasant to work with. We had no problems finding the place and the location?...well it just can't be beat. To be able to open the windows anytime during the day/night and hear the ocean is priceless. We were able to sit at the dinette and watch the surfers, beach goers, and even caught a glimpse of some dolphins. The cottage is very kid friendly and being so close to the beach, if you have kids, it is a wonderful convenience to be able to walk back and forth easily, depending on their schedule. We loved walking down to the pier for dinner and to the playground on the sand. We bought a three day pass to Sea World and loved being able to go on our own schedule since it was only a 30 minute drive. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.

Wonderful Beachfront Cottage and Owner

We booked Cottage over Internet from Italy. Owner's Italian not so good, but w/ IPOD my English much better. Wonderful Cottage right at Ocean. We were surprised to get Beachfront for such good rate. Owner become Internet Guide for us and made trip much easier. Owner even had birthday cake adn flowers for girlfriend, very, very nice. Will gradly rent from Owner when we return to USA next year. Great bargain and romantic Beachfront Cottage. Gratzi, Gratz!

OMG - What a find!! The Ocean is right there!!

OMG - What a find!! The Ocean is right out our 3 large windows. I don't think that there is any other property on the beach with a better, closer view.

I came to Oceanside to spend a month at Pendleton processing legal cases. This Cottage was such a great find that my wife joined me for the duration of my assignment. The owner is great to work with and very proactive to ensure that all of our needs were met - before we arrived. The recent improvements were on schedule and the place was ready for us.

We had a very romantic time and will definitely do this again. It was just like being on our Honeymoon again. Thanks for a wonderful time and location.

Awsome Location-What a Retreat!!

Well we have left the cottage and are on our way home. Thanks for the rental space. We enjoyed it very much. We feel that the futon just gave us a great vacation story. We would definately come back and are already talking about longer next time. You were right, the constant sounds and smells of the ocean that filled the cottage were amazing. We felt super lucky to have such a great spot. Thank you to Arlene and Patrick for their help as well.

You asked me to let you know if there was any way you could improve on the place? Unfortunately I'm not going to be of much help...Janel either... Because we thought it was just so great by itself, as is. :)

Awsome location, views and unit

I stayed in the owners cottage from 10/2009 till 3/2010 - during a corporate relocation. What a find!! This unit is right on the ocean.
Couldn't get a better location. Small but cozy for my wife and I.
Million dollar views from the 3 front windows!! Owner goes to great lengths to make sure vacationers are "happy campers". We are dragging out finding a new home, likely in Temecula, as we don't want to lose this Magnificent View and location! We would definitely stay here again and will refer friends and relatives to stay here as well.

Picture, if you will, a tired woman executive with a glass of wine listening to the waves, in a retro beach cottage (with a heater like the one she grew up with in the early 60's in Santa Clara, CA). This is a very, very nice find.....I appreciate you sharing you place with us. Josie and Fred will start their stay tomorrow and I'm sure they will enjoy it as much as I am enjoying it!!

Great Beachfront Cottage!!!

Thank you for allowing me and my wife to stay in your beautiful cottage! I tell you what i have never been to Oceanside but i LOVED it! I still remember the first day i was there looking out on the ocean and just watching the waves! I have always loved the ocean! I remember growing up always wanting to have my honeymoon on the Ocean and i finaly got the chance! The cottage was amazing! My wife and I told all our family and friends that we were moving there and we really did think about it long and hard! LOL!!! We loved it that much! We both pray we can come back again real soon! We just loved our stay! So thank you thank you thank you!!!!
