Hale Kokio is perfect for North Shore activities while remaining a convenient distance to points East and South. Start your day with a trip to Kilauea Town and its bakery, general store, 'healthy hut' or other fun shops. Three beaches are within a 5 minute drive. Anini Beach is just ten minutes away. Hanalei, with famous bay beach, vintage plantation architecture, and eclectic shops is just a little further north. Continue further to Haena, tunnels and a look at Bali Hai. Find the trailhead off Ke'e Beach for a great hike.
Numerous white sandy beaches, Larsen's, Pilaa, Secret Beach, Anini, and Rock Quarry(Kahili), are within ten minutes from Hale Kokio. Be sure to grab the beach towels,chairs and snorkling equipment that we provide.

To preserve the sense of privacy and community, a private driveway takes you to your on site parking, no on street parking is allowed. Elevated noise activities or amplified music is not allowed after 10PM as a courtesy to neighbors.
Our family is interested in gardening, fishing, photography and music and generally being near the ocean. In our travels, we discovered Kauai is perfect for these activities. Some family members call Kauai home, others of us visit as often as we can. Our community is welcoming, lifestyle is simple and the beauty of the island abundant. What more can we ask for, walks on the beach, cultivating our gardens, sharing harvests with friends, music by the fire, preparing meals of fresh fish and local produce.
We visited Kauai a number of times before our decision to purchase Hale Kokio in 2006. The property was in the perfect location, showcased the natural beauty of the North Shore in a neighborhood that was developing in authentic island style.
The grounds were so pretty and the design was perfect for additional planting and cultivation. We all decided that this was just the right place for us.
