Camellia Cottage is a pretty little tin roofed retreat, close to the beach, and downtown Ocean Springs. I live on the grounds as well, and can assist you with many special requests, like finding a good pet sitter or massage therapist.
Guests often comment, 'This is even nicer than the pictures,' and appreciate the unexpected, like a seasonal herb garden, and the privacy and comfort it offers. It is intimate, tastefully decorated and geared for your comfort.
While the cottage has welcomed vacationers, business managers, and snowbirds, it has a particular appeal to couples who come here to celebrate life events, like anniversaries, birthdays, and even an engagement.

I spent years being on the road as an international flight attendant, and living in big cities. I feel like it gave me a P.H.D. in 'Life' but grew tired of leaving home, and constantly being uprooted. My brother kept insisting I would love it here, in Ocean Springs, and would fit in well with the abundant art and easy lifestyle. He was right. Now, there isn't any place I would rather live, and my little herd of dogs and cats agree!
The FOR SALE sign was still warm in the ground when I first
laid eyes on the little cottage called Camellia Hill ( my house) with the Live Oaks spreading giant arms and Camellias welcoming me in. As I drove back home to Atlanta the next day
I couldn't stop saying, 'I just bought a house. How did I just buy a house!' I gave up packing suitcases, big city life and moved to the Gulf Coast and I have never looked back. As another bonus, the old garage could and would be converted into a guest house. Voila...the genesis of 'Camellia Cottage' and a deep love affair.
While the cottage has welcomed vacationers, business managers, and snowbirds, it has a particular appeal to couples who come here to celebrate life events, like anniversaries, birthdays, and even an engagement.
The cottage is nestled in among ancient live oaks, magnolias and beautiful winter blooming camellias. If you are lucky, you might catch a tree frog serenade, or hear the rhythm of the rain on the tin roof, while sinking into the memory foam bed in the sleeping loft. Thank you so much for your true hospitality! After nearly 8 hours of of driving it was beyond frustrating to find
that the house we had reserved was far from being ready for our arrival. We were exhausted and at the end of our rope. Then miracle of miracles there your were and this most amazing cottage. You have taken us in at the last moment and been so kind and gracious. And the cottage, beautiful beyond words...everything we could ask for and more!!!
