A 'cozy home' in the heart of San Francisco
We had a wonderful week in San Francisco staying at this HomeAway vacation Rental. Andy was the consumate host, meeting us at the airport, and giving us an incredibly informative tour of the neighborhood and surroundings. His knowledge and expertise in the area made him a wonderful resource. The apartment was cozy and clean and so very comfortable. The bedrooms and bath were very comfortable, and we enjoyed the sitting area and found the set up to be exactly what we needed to enjoy ourselves in this great city. We would highly recommend this accommodation to our dearest friends and relatives. And....the fact that we plan to return every year when we visit our son should speak volumes!!

Hermoso departamento
Hace mas de dos años que nos hospedamos en este departamento, y apenas ahora decidí escribir mis comentarios.
El departamento es muy lindo, nosotros éramos 4 personas y estuvimos muy cómodos, con todo lo que se necesita y mas.
La casa donde está ubicado es muy bonita, y también la calle.
Además, Andy fue súper amable con nosotros.
Me encantaría volver a hospedarme ahí si regreso a San Francisco.
El departamento es muy lindo, nosotros éramos 4 personas y estuvimos muy cómodos, con todo lo que se necesita y mas.

Además, Andy fue súper amable con nosotros.

Great home in the Castro
We were made very welcome by our host, Andy on both of our two 3-day stays. The apartment was compact (as advertised) but comfortable, well appointed and clean. It's in a superb location for visitors to San Francisco. Great access to public transport and a short walk to eateries and other services. Andy was generous with his time and advice, driving us on a tour of the immediate area. He also responded promptly & cheerfully to a minor maintenance issue. We highly recommend this property. We'd suggest buying a MuniPass at the airport as they're difficult to find away from downtown SF. The Anchor seafood restaurant, Zapata's Mexican and Orphan Andy's diner were all good. Riding the vintage trolleys down Market St to the Ferry Building Market and other attractions was a great start to most days. Watching our two year old grandson have his first Ben & Jerry's in Haight-Ashbury was a highlight.

Awesome Host
Thank you Andy, for a lovely stay. We appreciated all that you included: airport/car rental transportation, information about the neighborhood and city, convenient location, quick response to questions/requests, fun soaps. We loved Twin Peaks , the Nob Hill walking tour and the Red Jade Restaurant. Your customer service and kindness made our visit comfortable and enjoyable.

Excellent place!
I was very pleased with this place, and the owner, Andy. He went out of his way to make sure we had the supplies we needed, and provided transportation on occasion. I would highly recommend this rental. I give it a 5 star rating.

This is a winner! Great location!
Very glad I found this place on line. It was easy to book, etc.
The unit has everything you need for a vacation stay. The location is great! The bus runs right outside and it's just a short walk or bus ride to Market Street where you can catch an historic street car or underground train to downtown, Union Square, The Embarcadero, Ferry building, etc. Or take the bus the other direction to The Haight or Golden Gate Park.
Andy, the owner, is wonderful! Picked us up at the airport and gave us a very nice tour of the area, took us back to the airport and even took us to an early morning pick up point for a tour we were doing. He couldn't have been more helpful and was a great source of useful information.
And it was really nice to actually stay in one of San Francisco's beautiful old Victorian homes!
We definitely recommend this rental!

Great Location~ Good home base
This rental is exactly as advertised~ small but quaint and clean. The owner was extremely helpful, friendly and informative. We stayed two nights and really felt what San Francisco living was like. Apt was located right on a bus line but also within walking distance to terrific restaurants and local stores/bars/cafes, etc. Andy (owner) gave us tips to navigating the city which were life-savers. Apt was comfortable but a bit small~ still a far better deal than hotel living in the city! Recommend to both couples and small families

A lovely place to stay
Andy was very friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome.
He took us on a little sight-seeing tour as soon as we arrived and gave us lots of information and tips about the area.
His flat is exactly as described - large, comfy bed; spotlessly clean; and easy to get to via public transport.
We would definitely recommend staying there and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we go back to San Francisco.

Great place to call home
While visiting the area we found this to be a delightful place to call home. Andy was wonderful in answering our questions about the area and making sure we had everything we needed.
Apartment was exactly as shown and clean. Location had easy access to public transportation and our host gave us the information needed to find our way around.
If we are ever in the area again, we would welcome the chance to stay here again.

Conviently close to Muni and restaurants
We've been coming to The City for 40 years but this was the first time we haven't stayed in a hotel. Having our temporary home for the weekend was wonderful - the two of us had two bedrooms, living room and bathroom to spread out in. WIFI, lots of satelite TV stations, and just enough kitchen/dining equipment to have snacks but not feel like we had to cook anything. The 6-foot spa tub is big and deep enough for even tall people. Andy's tour of the area and the views from Twin Peaks really helped us get situated. We'll definitely come back!
