Photos and Description of the Gardiner vacation cabin rental
3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, sleeps 8

Yellowstone Riverview Cabin was built in 2007. This tastefully furnished cabin is located only 9 1/2 miles (a mere 10 minute drive) from Yellowstone Park's original entrance in Gardiner, Montana. Riverview Cabin is the perfect place for fishing the Yellowstone River with several boat launch and public access sites in close proximity. This cabin is also ideal for naturalists, wildlife enthusiasts and photographers - it is situated in Paradise Valley, a majestically beautiful wildlife corridor directly connected to Yellowstone Park. Bighorn sheep, deer and elk can be viewed regularly.

The cabin is well supplied - we provide linens, towels, a hair dryer, hand soaps, shampoo, laundry soap, dish washing soap, trash can liners, etc.

If you love the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains and look forward to visiting Yellowstone Park with all its natural beauty and wildlife, you're sure to enjoy your stay at Yellowstone Riverview Cabin!

Interior of Yellowstone Riverview Cabin:: The great room has a vaulted ceiling with panoramic windows to light the room with gorgeous views of Yankee Jim Canyon and the Yellowstone River. The happy hour wet bar, overstuffed furniture and custom stained glass wildlife panels (made by the owner) are the perfect setting for relaxation after an adventurous day in our First National Park. There's room for 8 at the dining room table in front of a beautiful wildlife mural and comfy gas fireplace. The roll top desk is loaded with information, maps, guides and more on Yellowstone Country.

There are three bedrooms - the master bedroom with a king size bed, the second one with a queen size and the third one with two sets of bunk beds for the kids. The den has a comfy sofa and there is satellite TV and lots of DVDs for all night movie enthusiasts!

Kitchen and catered lunches:: The custom designed stone kitchen has everything you need to create a gourmet dinner. You will love the gorgeous custom stained glass sunflower valances in the windows. It features a breakfast bar that seats 3 people. The dining table seats 8.

We do offer lunch catering for guests with prior notice. Our healthy menu includes homemade specialties and organics from our garden. Produce can also be purchased from our organic garden.

Activities including winter activities:: Yellowstone Park is only 9 1/2 miles away, with its geothermal features and wildlife - grizzly and black bears, wolves, mountain lions, moose, elk, deer, etc. Whether it's horseback riding, whitewater rafting, hiking, or fishing Yellowstone River and its many streams, creeks, lakes and ponds - you'll find it all right at your doorstep at Yellowstone Riverview Cabin! An added bonus is private stained glass lessons at the owner's studio.

This is a great place for a winter trip, because it's close to Gardiner, the only entrance to the Park that is car-accessible year round all the way through to Tower Falls, the Lamar Valley and Cooke City. Many groomed trails for cross-country skiing are located along this road. Xanterra Parks and Resorts offers guided snowmobile tours and snow coach rides Yellowstone Park which leave from Mammoth Hot Springs. They also rent snowmobiles, skies, and snow shoes.

Thanks for your hospitality. The big red barn was the center of many wonderful Christmas memories for our extended family. Trips to the Park for wildlife watching and cross country skiing were the highlights, but Chico Hot Springs was great too.

Wow! What a great place you have here. We really enjoyed our 5 days in the 'Big Red Barn'. So relaxing and private. Hats off to you both. The beauty you have constructed is amazing. Love the location to Yellowstone. Perfect for day trips and this to come back to relax here at our home away
from home. Sorry to say it is time for us to go. Our last night here is sad but we are so grateful for this opportunity to see the wonders of God all around us. Everything was just perfect! Thank you both and we will be back. God Bless you.

Wow ... What a beautiful place

WOW... What a beautiful place you have built, created and maintained! Thank you for sharing your imagination and this grand view of the valley with us - we really appreciate all of it. We spent 10 days here but way too short to do what we wanted to do! I was hoping to take a class and see how you make stained glass or pottery but we so quickly ran out of time. On the bright side we got to see so many cool wild animals. Besides the bald eagles and the grizzlies, on our very last hike yesterday in the park we also saw a big black wolf!! He was just 100 feet from us. These memories will be with us forever and so will the happy moments our family got to experience while staying in this 'Red Barn!' Again, thank you very much for everything.
PS: I finally had a chance to visit Yellowstone Gallery (in Gardiner) and gladly picked up a beautiful (stained glass) dragonfly Elenor created. It will be cherished in our home for years to come.

Most sincerely,

Good luck in your future plans and God Bless you.

I loved this house. I just wish that we could have seem your art room because you make great decorations for the house. My favorite is the wolf at the top left window in the living room!

I am awfully sad to have to leave tomorrow. We have to go back to boring old Yakima, WA. I loved seeing all of the animals in and out of the park! We were all very disappointed to not see any wolves besides caged up ones at the Wolf and Grizzly Discovery Center. Your home is very beautiful. The beds and couches were very comfy. Two days ago I was playing and dropped the fire extinguisher on my foot and left a huge bump and many bruises. But everything is really great here. Thank you so much.
Rebecca Rainville

We leave early tomorrow and I am very sad to go! The house, Yellowstone, people, animals and everything else was great. You guys are obviously very talented. While in the park we attempted to count the wildlife - it came to about eight sheep, six bears, four wolves, two coyotes, fourteen pronghorn and many, many, many bison, elk and deer. It was such a great experience and I loved everything (except the sulfur smells). Thanx for absolutely everything!
Rachel Rainville

Today is our last day here and we have thoroughly enjoyed our week here - the house was just right and it was nice to have a comfy and relaxing couch to lounge on after a long day at the park! Beds were cozy - I have decided to buy a ceiling fan when I get home to install in our bedroom! Love all the stone and tile work too. The park was fun - saw just about everything as far as animals go. One of our favorite sights was definitely Grand Prismatic Spring! Please tell Kim thanks for the stories! (Kim is the wrangler who rents out downstairs - takes folks on long pack trips all summer/quite a character.)

We had a wonderful time and we had everything we needed. The house is beautiful and VERY COMFORTABLE. This was our first family vacation and I don't think we could have picked a better place! We are "dog" people and enjoyed them when they came over to visit with us. What a wonderful gift to be blessed with the ability to create such beautiful stained glass artwork. Thank you so much for allowing us to make this our home away from home! My youngest son and I really enjoyed the OTO Ranch and Jardine mine and now I'm hooked on huckleberry ice cream. We hate to leave!

I love this house, it is awesome. When I first came here I thought I was at a famous person's house. My favorite part of it was the stone floor in the shower and the bunk beds.

What a fantastic trip! Your place added to the excitement. Nathan couldn't wait to come "home" to play with his new dogs. He cried last night because we had to leave. Beartooth Highway was one of our favorites! Very much enjoyed all the wildlife especially the grizzly and cubs! Very much enjoyed the Canyon of the Yellowstone - what a sight everywhere. LOVED the stars at night, well worth staying up for. Thanks for your hospitality and the life long memories!

April 30 - May 3, 2010This was a great 3 days away. We had a very nice time and the home was great and just right for our needs. Thank you for letting us have our girls with us - when traveling with dogs it is always hard to find a good space for them to play - this was perfect! Love the art - very inspiring. Thank you for the last minute arrangements.

The trip has been wonderful - the house and scenery are gorgeous! The once in a lifetime experience has been completely worthwhile. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
PS: I loved playing with Thor! (This is the owners' dog). He is such a sweetheart and it is wonderful he has finally been given the home he deserves.
Kate (daughter)

As Kate said it has all been great. Thanks for opening your place to guests. I look forward to recalling great memories when I see my new stained glass pieces!
