We drove all the way from Ann Arbor, Michigan to stay in this lovely home. Donna and Hans greeted us when we arrived...they were great; very charming. We felt very comfortable during our stay. Our hosts provided us with lots of little extras which meant a lot. We did quite a bit of hiking and exploring in the nearby State Parks which was beautiful and fun. My wife and boys took out Hans's canoe one morning on the lake...they loved it!

Having a GPS was helpful when navigating from home to stores, parks etc. Maps and informational brochures were available in a big binder put together by the hosts.

Wireless internet access was reliable and fast. Cellphone signal strenght was spotty in places. The home has a landline telephone if needed.

We have two dogs that traveled with us. There is an additonal small cleaning fee added to the bill which was very reasonable. Of course we tried to leave the house clean and tidy.

The rental contract is very straightforward.

My family was so fortunate to be able to stay in Donna's and Hans' beautiful home for my mom's birthday weekend. We are grateful to them for helping us plan an amazing weekend where there was something for everyone- shopping for my dad and sister, the casinos for mom and grandma, the pool and the wildlife for the 2 year old and just the wonderful fresh country air for my husband and me. We thank Donna so much for recommending Ehrhardt's where we had an awesome sunset dinner on the lake. The house was so warm and cozy, we so appreciate their hospitality. We have already started spreading the word to our friends and we hope to be back for a longer stay next time.

A group of friends and I were lucky to find this mountain home nestled in the woods and we enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing 4th of July weekend. The rooms were spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 9 people and 1 bulldog. The owners, Donna and Hans, are wonderful and warm people who made sure that there was nothing lacking. They provided all the information we might need for groceries, activities and anything else in the area. The huge deck provided great space where we were able to BBQ and relax outside everyday. The lake and pool are close by and only a short walk away. To get away from the city, shut down and relax was what we were all looking for, and this home was exactly what we needed. Perfect weekend in every way possible thanks to the amazing hospitality of Donna and Hans. We have all recommended this house to our friends, and we would definitely love to come back. Truly a pleasure and a gem of a getaway home. Thanks again!!!

We went away for a weekend with four couples and had a wonderful time in this rental house. This house is definitely for anyone who just wants to get away and relax in the woods of the poconos. The house was very spacious and everything you needed was left, i.e. directions to all the nearest gas stations, shopping centers, grocery stores etc. I recommend this house to anyone that likes the wilderness and quiet lifestyle. I wish I never had to leave!

My friends and I went away for a wekend of fun and relaxing. The house was beautiful had everything we needed was super clean and very roomy! I would recommend this house to anyone looking to have a nice clean get away with family or friends. And the owners are A++ and super nice to deal with!

We needed a relaxing weekend and looked at many houses. We finally decided on this house and we were very happy we did. First the house is beautiful, warm and charming. The setting is ideal for relaxation. However, if you are looking for activities, there is plenty to do in the community and the area.

When you walk into the house for the first time the one thing that is apparent immediately is that it does not feel like a typical rental property. You feel like you are walking into someones home and the owners make you feel like it is your home. The house was well decorated and extremely clean and well maintained. The owners were wonderful to deal with and extremely accommodating in helping us plan our vacation.

The home has all the amenities needed to make your stay enjoyable. The master bedroom has a private balcony that overlooks the woods and the deer. (plenty of deer walking around) The back deck and the sun room looks out into the woods and the state forest lands. A lot of privacy to enjoy nature with your family and friends.

We will definitely be going back to this house many times. It is the perfect package for either a romantic getaway or a family vacation. We absolutely give this property our highest recommendation. Go and enjoy!!!!

This is what I call a real vacation. This is the place you go to relax and have alot of fun. You walk in the door and it hits you immediately, a sense of peace. The views are beautiful. You'll want to take a walk every day. On Some days you'll just sit on the balcany and enjoy nature at it's finest. This is a beautiful home with all the conveniences. Use it for a family vacation or just for a romantic weekend. If you enjoy an active vacation everything is within reach. Many activities such as swimming, boating, hiking, skiing, snowboarding are all available. You can do some Shopping too.
