Rude owner. Flaky rental manager.
I spent a long weekend at this house with my wife and 2 kids, my brother and father. The house is very nice and in a great location.
There is only one parking space. We had 2 cars parked there and I received a call directly from the owner of the house. Before I could even speak and instead of asking me how I was doing and how I liked the house he immediately began lecturing and almost yelling at me to move the car. Not a good first impression.
The cable and internet did not work while I was there. We were extremely disappointed because these were priorities for us when we were looking to book. The manager never got back to me about fixing it while we were there. Also, they claim to have surround sound speakers. They did but the speakers were not even hooked up.
The manager is very flaky. She gave us welcome letter with an emergency number to call if there were any problems. Upon check in, my wife could not access the lockbox with the key. She called the manager's emergency number and no one answered. A message was left which was never returned. Luckily we were able to unjam the lock box and access the key.
In my opinion, there are probably better options on Manhattan Beach than this one. Although the house is nice, you shouldn't have to put up with poor customer service with the amount of options out there.

Also, it is probably worth noting that we have changed rental managers, and improved customer service procedures, since this guest’s review.
