My wife, Terry, and I have been to the Hawaiian Islands many times. But, after visiting the Big Island we knew it was the place we would like to retire. We have four grown children and 3 grandchildren. We built this house as our retirement home, not just a vacation rental. But, before we retire and move to the Big Island we would like to share our Kona Paradise beach home with others.
We fell in love with the Kona Coast and built in rural Kona Paradise because of the relaxing feeling we got while vacationing there. The people are very friendly and it became our home away from home. We believe that Pebble Beach, just steps away is our own private beach. Most of the time, we are the only people on the beach!
We relax on our lanai and count the whales as they breach (in the months of December to March). We very often see young whales following their mothers. It’s hard for us to decide what direction to travel when spending the day exploring because it’s beautiful going north and spectacular heading south. You can see beautiful beaches, snorkel, and kayak. Take a trip to Volcanoes National Park, and visit the many waterfalls along the way. You will never be bored. And if you enjoy amazing coffee, you are in the right place! You can smell the Kona coffee roasting during a leisure drive into town.
