Wow, this was an amazing place to stay. It was scrupulously clean, light and airy, roomy, comfortable and easy. No neighbors to the south, it's easy to imagine you're far, far away from the rat race. The location is just a tiny bit more remote than most of the other rentals around Kona, but we felt this was a plus. A run to the grocery store (Choice Mart, cool) takes about 20 minutes, but what you need is probably already in the kitchen here. Fantastic screened lanai, good books, games, beach gear (wow) awesome WiFi (wow again). It was so great to wake up here. The photos on the listing are accurate, but it's nicer than they show. The owners were charming and very helpful and prompt in replying, and they have done a beautiful job building this home and landscaping around it. Where to go: Hookenea beach, the Master Lei Maker just a mile or so down Napoopoo Road, Strawberry Patch restaurant, Amici's, Annie's Burgers, Rebel Kitchen, Keirnan Music (excellent ukulele maker).

The is a beautiful, airy well appointed house. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. There were excellent linens , bath towels and kitchen equipment galore. There were nice beach towels and great snorkeling equipment, beach mats and chairs all in very good shape. Our family of 6 loved this house. We loved the comfortable screened in porch. The owners could not have been nicer and the housekeeper was responsive to our needs. The house was very clean and very well maintained. Though the house did require driving quite a bit due to the location, we found it well worth it.

We, my 80 yr. old Father, my 32 yr. old Son and myself, had the most wonderful stay at this welcoming, very well equipped and simply beautiful home ! This home is located on a hillside in an extremely tropical area - beautiful plants and flowers surround the house and the most unusual black pebble beach only a short walk away - waking to the sound of the black pebble beach was absolutely therapeutic - the three of us spent many of hour relaxing out on the Lanai and enjoying the beautiful surroundings - as well as ventured out daily to see the macadamia nut factory, Kona coffee houses and quaint little shops not far away - we even took a drive all the way around the Island...grassland and forest at the north end to the volcanoes at the South end - such a beautiful drive !

When we arrived at your beautiful home it was exactly as depicted on the website. The home was extremely clean and spacious, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your own meals, and the surrounding gardens and views were amazing. It was so relaxing to sit on the screened-in lanai and watch the ocean and the gorgeous sunsets. We also appreciated all the beach equipment provided and put it to good use. Pebble Beach down the road turned out to be our favourite beach as it was very secluded and the snorkeling was fantastic. The list of recommended activities and restaurants provided by the owners was also very helpful and we planned many of our outings before arriving on the island. Must sees- Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (set aside an entire day-there is so much to see), kayaking and snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay (awesome snorkeling, crystal clear water, and we were fortunate to kayak alongside a pod of dolphins), and the Ride the Rim ATV tour at Waipio Valley (breathtaking views). We are so glad that we opted to rent this beautiful home versus staying at an overcrowded resort and would, without a doubt, recommend it to others visiting the Big Island.

My family and I stayed at this beautiful home during our vacation on the Big Island. We were very pleased to find that the house was extremely clean and well maintained. They had snorkel gear, boogie boards, water shoes, and beach towels for us to use at the beach that was a short drive (or walk) away. The owners of the house were gracious and sent us material about the area, restaurants, and attractions to help us out. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this house to any who wants a quiet, peaceful stay with a beautiful view!

This is an excellent choice for a family vacation. The three bedrooms are large and comfortable, with a spacious and child-safe lanai. Incredible views of the pacific above Pebble Beach. The provided snorkeling equipment was used extensively as was a local kayak rental service due to the calm, clear conditions. We visited Hilo, Volcano Nat'l Park, the black and geen sand beaches at South Point and Captain Cook's/City of Refuge. We prepared most of our meals (for 7) in the well equipped kitchen or on the outside BBQ. We had a couple nice restuarant visits (Kona Brewing, Bubba Gumps) to Kailua, as well as the night Manta Ray dive at Keahou bay. Although I enjoy variety when vacationing, I will consider a return trip to this property due to the many benefits. The owners have done an excellent job landscaping. PS- Walk; don't drive to the beach. It is close and good exercise.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful and very functional home. It was very clean and cozy. Also, we enjoyed a lovely garden around the house. The outside shower was very handy as you come back from the beach. Kona paradise has its own private beach that is only steps away form the house. The water was warm and clear, the only hard thing was walking on the pebbles. Good water shoes are a must. Having the screen around lanai was really handy as there are a few mosquitoes around and my little kid was completely contained and could not run outside. I would like to thank the owners for providing all the necessary things in the house to make it a perfect pleasant stay. I would love to come back and rent this house again.
