Kia-Hai, a non-smoking, no pets villa has the privacy and feel of an upscale individual home with luxury furnishings, air conditioning and all the amenities you would expect in a luxury villa. Seating for 6 at the dining table plus bar stools provide ample seating for meals and the living room features a comfortable queen sized pull out sofa with TV, DVD, VCR, WiFi, and many other entertainment options. The living room, dining room and kitchen all have a beautiful tiled floor which is ideal to island lifestyle.
The unit comes complete with phones that include free local and long-distance calling to the mainland and Canada. Be sure to bring your laptop with you as secure, wireless high speed internet is available for your use. Other amenities include a washer and dryer with laundry soap, an ironing board w/iron and plenty of towels for the villa and the beach. For your beach/picnic outings we supply a cooler, boogie boards, beach chairs and beach mats.
The granite-lined kitchen will accommodate any gourmet cook with essentials including a glass-top stove, full oven, over-the-range-microwave, side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, double sinks with disposal, and multiple small appliances (toaster, coffee maker, etc…) Cooking utensils, knives, and pots and pans are waiting to be used. Helpful items such as spices, oils, and other basics are also on hand. The kitchen, open to the living room and dining room area, has easy access to the private lanai for your dining convenience. Grill fresh fish and enjoy fresh vegetables and fruit from the many local farmer markets found in the area. If your idea of vacation cooking is simply brewing a cup of famous Kona coffee, then many world-class local restaurants await you.
Beyond the living room is the lanai with table and chairs. It faces no other buildings making you think you are in your own private paradise. The grounds are well kept with palm trees and colorful aromatic flowering plants. There are beautiful views from every room in this top floor unit.
Both the master bedroom (king bed) and the guest bedroom (queen bed) feature designer furniture and TV's with cable. The loft includes two twin beds and a reading nook. All three rooms include iPod docking stations. The master suite adjoins to a spacious bathroom with two separate sinks, oval soaking tub, walk-in glass shower, separate walk-in closet and commode room. A second full bath, located near the guest bedroom, is also fully stocked with towels and amenities for your convenience.
The isle of Hawaii offers a vast array of activities for everyone. Waikoloa's streets are lined with palm trees and sidewalks, making for perfect conditions for running, walking, and biking. Only a 5 minute walk and you arrive at Anaeho’omalu ('A'-bay), a beautiful beach where you will find ancient Hawaiian fish ponds and many opportunities to view incredible sunsets. A-Bay with its gorgeous tropical fish, turtles and corals is ideal for water activities including swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, glass bottom boat rides, windsurfing, sea kayaking or just relaxing on a beach chair. During the winter you may even spot a Humpback Whale. The King's Trail so named for the great King Kamehameha remains well preserved within the Waikoloa Beach Resort where visitors can walk in the footsteps of ali'i (chieftains) surrounded by lava, ancient petroglyphs and native Hawaiian plants. More world class beaches can be found a short 15 minute drive from the villas at the Mauna Lanai hotel and Hapuna Beach State park. 10 of the 15 climatic zones are found on the Big Island and you can go from a tropical beach to the top of a mountain on the same day. You can even visit an active volcano or a tropical rainforest. The scenery is unbelievable with breathtaking valleys, waterfalls and amazing vistas. Other activities include horseback riding, helicopter tours, coffee plantation tours, hiking on an active volcano, visiting the Observatory, zip lining, or jet skiing.
Kia-Hai is only steps away from the King’s & Queen’s Shops. Both shopping complexes have a variety of fine shops, galleries, award winning restaurants, cultural activities and a market that carries local produce and fresh catch of the day.
