Great for Two Couples

The property is immaculate and the owner is very attentive to guests. There are four apartments, 2 up and 2 down; the owner lives in one and there are three used for short term holiday rentals. The apartments are ideal for two couples travelling together with two equivalent queen bedrooms that each have their own full bathroom. One of the bathrooms can also be accessed from the main living area. The kitchen is well equipped and the furnishings are comfortable and in very good condition. The beds are comfortable with nice good quality bedding.
The pool and garden is very nice. The property could use some new and better patio furniture, but there are a few chairs and a small patio table to use by the pool. A common BBQ is available.
The neighbourhood is very quiet and safe. The property is a block from the sea so the upper units have a partial sea view and you can hear the surf. There is a nice sea breeze in the upper units. It is less than 5 minutes by car to Miami (a.k.a. Enterprise) beach and Oistens, or probably about 15 minutes to walk. It is a great location from which to explore Barbados by car with ready access to main routes.
It is great value and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Lovely Experience

We are a family of five, and it was our first visit to Barbados. We were greeted by Anna, and showed around the lovely ground level apartment. She graciously drove us around the area, and helped us find the grocery store. Anna and her daughters were very accomodating and friendly throughout our stay.
The pool right off of our balcony was wonderful for our daughters. It was maintained every day and always very clean. We appreciated the a/c units in the bedrooms, and there was always a nice cool breeze blowing through at night. We found that evening was a good time to shower, as the water (solar heat) was nice and warm by that time. We always kept our doors locked when we were away, as this is standard practice for us no matter where we are staying. Our apartment was equipped with a safe which was a nice feature. The gaurd that Anna has on a few nights a week made us feel extra safe, and he was very friendly and great to chat with.
Miami beach is a short drive from the condo unit, and it was a great beach for our girls to swim at. We were close to gas stations, restaurants, Oistins, and many other beaches were also near by. We were far enough away that we felt very peaceful to return home to the quiet apartment at night. We would recommend trying out the Tiki Bar on Accra beach!
Our stay at DayDreams was very personalized, and Anna went out of her way with small details and "extra touches" to make our island experience a very special one! Thank you again for everything, it was so lovely to meet you and your family!

"Anna is a great hostess and ensures these quiet, clean, comfortable, well maintained and well equipped apartments are in good shape for her guests. The swimming pool is clean, regularly tended and very peaceful and relaxing. The apartments are located in a quiet residential area with two good surfing spots within walking distance. Nearby Miami beach (5 mins by car - would not recommend walking with small children as there are no sidewalks in some parts) is a lovely spot with lots of tree shade and fun waves - around the corner from the main beach is a small protected cove that was perfect for our small children. Oistins the nearby town (10/15 mins drive - traffic dependent) has a big supermarket, ATMs and a large fish market. For sunset drinks try Cafe Luna at Miami beach or for a bigger night out the Oistins Fish Fry on a Friday night."

Nice Apartment

I stayed at the apartment with my husband and another couple. We had previously stayed at a town house north of Holetown and an apartment in St Lawrence Gap. We were slightly disappointed with some of the facilities provided at this apartment. The lounge diner has 2 fans and although the remote controls are provided they don't work and haven't worked for quite a while - so why provide 2 useless remotes ? they kind of tantalise you into trying to get them working! We also couldn't get any hot water from any of the taps, even when Anna came to show use the controls - we only ever managed to get tepid water at any time of day !
Anna was very honest when she told us not to leave the balcony doors open when not in the room due to there having been an intruder in the past and we did heed her advice - however I would have liked a safe to be provided which in previous apartments that we stayed in was a standard feature.
I am only just over 5' tall luckily my husband and friends are all very tall otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get a coffee cup from the cupboard! and the microwave was so high that even my friend who is 6'5" thought it wise to put it down onto the work top for health & safety reasons ! The equipment in the kitchen on the whole was good but there was no oven utensils like a roasting pan so we could not use the oven at all, also another minor thing there was no bottle opener - although Anna's daughter did give us theirs when we asked.
My last comment is that although I am sure there was a sea view a couple of years ago due to the plot in front being built on and the height of the hedge around the pool that view is not there any longer, even my 6'5" friend could only glimpse the sea on the horizon if he stood on tip toe.
Having said all this we did enjoy our stay and after a sorting out a mix up on the number of nights we had booked and the payment required Anna was quite lovely. The area was good but I must admit I did prefer being in the Gap area so would probably not stay here again.
I have tried to be honest in my review and from previous reviews it is obvious that my opinions may be in the minority.

Owner's Response: Thanks for this review, although I do agree and am pleased that this review is in minority.I also thank you for your comments on arrival for your four day stay,on how beautiful the apartment was. The fans in the lounge do not work, but we do have two air-condition units in the apartment added to the fact that the apartments, by all accounts , are roomy and very breezy. You did neglect to say that when you commented on the fans, a standing fan was brought to you immediately.( What service!)You also did not mention that there was a bottle opener in the apartment, but not one with a corkscrew, which you needed to open a bottle of wine. Three of the four apartments are equipped with safes, and this one will have one installed once our supplier has received a new shipment which will be arriving shortly. We believe that we try our utmost best to make sure that our guests are comfortable, hence the reason 95% of our reviews are very positive.We truly care about our guests and your satisfaction is very, very important to us.This is why when I said that an intruder had wandered onto our grounds and I asked that you close the balcony doors when leaving the apartment, it was to ensure that all are secure. As you know our security is such that we do have cameras and a guard at times, but what I am asking is not unusual as we both know that in our own homes no matter how safe the neighborhood maybe, we will never venture out and leave our doors open.
We do not have a roasting pan, but thanks for the info as we will be sure to add them as soon as possible. Most guests have opted for the disposable foil pans when using the oven and many prefer the outdoor barbecue.Additionally, we would like to think of our property as an eco-friendly one, so the solar hot water is very hot on sunny days and may be warm on rainy days.
We may not have a full sea view as we are not directly on the coast, but we are just two minutes from the ocean, parallel to the coast.We firmly believe that we are ideally located just two minutes from the beach and ten minutes from Oistins Town where there are supermarkets, shops, a post office, police station, library, banks, doctors, clinics, bus station as well as many fine restaurants. St Lawrence Gap is nice if you are the partying type, but personally it is much too noisy for me with all the night clubs, bars and hotels. We aim to please, but we are realistic in our view that there will always be someone whom we can never satisfy. Thanks again.

Arrived at Daydreams to be greeted by the lovely Anna,who showed us around the lovely and immaculate apartment.
Large and spacious bedrooms with en-suite,all immaculate also.
Anna couldn't,t do enough for us, even took us shopping on our first day.
I looked at hundreds of apartments and I am so glad I chose daydreams,it is so quiet and peaceful,

Eravamo un gruppo di 10 amici e abbiamo alloggiato ad Atlantic Shores apartments. La grande villa è divisa in 4 appartamenti, uno dei quali abitato dalla proprietaria Anna che è stata davvero gentile e disponibile con noi. Gli appartamenti sono grandi e puliti con due bagni ognuno.
La posizione è buona, vicino al centro di Christ Chrurch, al mercato del pesce ed ad alcune belle spiagge. Gli amanti del surf possono persino raggiungere alcune spiagge a piedi.
This year we have decided to spend our Christmas holidays in Barbados.
10 friends, we stayed at the Atlantic Shores apartments. The big villa is divided in 4 apartments, one of them occupied by the owner Anna. Anna has been really kind and available with us during our stay. The apartments are big and cleaned, with 2 bathrooms each.
They are in a good position next to the center of Christ Church, the fish market and some beautiful beaches. The surf lovers can also reach some of them by foot!

It is our 4th visit to Barbados and we really love the Atlantic shore area. It is important for us to share with you how much we truly enjoyed, savored and appreciated our stay in this cozy, well furnished, spotlessly clean apt. We certainly encourage you to chose this specific location based on the reviews already published that truly say it all!!!!! Anna is a real gem! Hospitable, available, always aiming to please. The Perfect Getaway

We really enjoyed everything about our holiday in Barbados.
The apartment was beautiful, very spacious and airy with great facilities and impeccably clean. We spent many evenings on the long balcony listening to the crickets and looking at the stars..... It was lovely having the pool to chill out by when we were not on the beach. There is a lovely breeze that goes through the apartment in the evenings as well. Even the air con in the bedrooms is quiet at night.
Anna could not have been a better host, she helped us to organise our days out, recommended her favourite beaches and places to eat and even gave us lifts. The Christams cake she gave us was delicious - a real treat. Thank you again for everything Anna.
A pleasant walk along the coast road took us to the nearest lovely beach, Miami, and the town of Oistins where taxis and buses were easily available. The local buses are great, just 2 Barbados dollars takes you wherever you want and it is a great chance to chat to local people who were without exception so helpful and friendly.
The atmosphere at the Friday fish fry in Oistins was amazing, a great mix of locals, tourists, food, music and good souvenirs. We also went to the fascinating Harrisons caves, the impressive East coast at Bathsheba and an unforgettable trip on the Jolly Roger where we swam with turtles! We also spent a day on the West coast which was beautiful but to be honest we preferred the beaches at Miami and Accra, which were more fun because of the waves.
We have already recommended Barbados and especially Anna's apartment to everyone and hope to return soon.

Anniversary get away

My husband and I had the pleasure of renting one of these four apartments for our 2nd anniversary getaway. The home did meet our expectations it was clean and we'll equipped with everything you needed to make your own meals or even to cater to friends. There is also reliable Internet as this was something we needed. Anna made our stay very relaxing and comfortable. There is a large pool for when we wanted to cool off. Over all the area is quiet and the apartment was a home away from home. We definitely will be retuning and would also recommend to our friends.

La casa e' situata in una posizione strategica, sia per chi ama praticare sport come surf e kitesurf, sia per chi ama il mare piatto e cristallino! Gli appartamenti sono molto confortevoli, molto belli, molto puliti e spaziosi! Dotati di internet wifi gratuito e di una splendida piscina per chi vuole fare un tuffo post spiagge! Anna, la proprietaria della casa, e' molto carina, gentile e disponibile per qualsiasi problema vi si incontri! La macchina e' indispensabile per potersi spostare! Se un giorno dovessi tornare su questa bellissima isola, non esiterei un momento per tornare qui!
