Great Vacation Home

Lovely home with beautiful view of the shipping lanes. Enjoyed watching the cruise and cargo ships go by. Went on vacation looking for some peace and quiet and we got it. Home is very clean and well maintained. Enjoyed the deer roaming in the yard and the eagles flying by. Had breakfast at the community center in Hansville and then watched the parade in Kingston. Fireworks are worth the trip.

We rented this house while staying in Hansville for a wedding, now I want to go back just for a vacation. The house was nicer that in looked in the pictures. The view was really amazing. Everything was immaculate, and decorated in such a cute beach theme. There was a TON of books, movies and games to keep you busy. Plus, a big book filled with local activites and menus for local restaurants. The owners really thought of everyting to make our stay comfortable. A very quiet neighborhood, and a huge yard perfect for kids. I wished we had stayed longer to enjoy all it had to offer. A weekend just wasn't long enough. I would recommend this house to anyone wanting a beautiful place to stay, with lots to do, at an affordable rate.

Calm and relaxing, already rebooked.

Everything we could have wanted in a holiday was at Shipping Lanes House.
The house was perfect for our family, two adults and two toddlers. We felt like we were in a home not a rental property. Our 3 year old boy cried when we had to leave and still talks about "secret" beach. (Lots of sanddollars).
The kitchen and laundry make it especally good for families as everything you need is there. Watching the boats from the dinning room table was great. The racing cruise ships were a favourite.
We have already booked a return visit and we can see ourselves returning again and again.

I just wanted to say it is our 3rd stay at the Shipping lanes house, and we are already planning the next trip. it truly is a wonderful home. so conveniently located to all the wonderful places in the Puget Sound and an easy Ferry ride to Seattle. it is paradise for sure, and Patti and Ed are the Best Hosts we have come across. "Amazing views from this well appointed vacation home! Every wish anticipated right down to puzzles, book, games, game tables (set-up garage) movies, music, hot tub and much more. We can't imagine not enjoying this wonderful get away place. We can certainly look forward to the next visit."
Again, we enjoyed our stay and can look forward to our next visit. Daughter and son-in-law came up from Tacoma on Saturday to have time with us and they really enjoyed the view of the water. Thanks again!

Wonderful time at the shipping lanes house!

I can't say enough good things about our stay at the shipping lanes house!! it provides a wonderful view of Puget Sound. We enjoyed watching the container ships pass by in addition an occasional Navy ship or submarine. You can watch bald eagles in the tree tops (with the provided binoculars) as well as deer, etc passing through the backyard. The house itself really made you feel pampered, with robes/slippers, a well stocked kitchen, comfy bedding, etc, etc... But the best part is the hospitality that Ed and Patti show to their guests. They treat you like family and always strive to make sure you have everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. They're a great source of advice for what to do in the area.
I highly recommend Ed and Patti's Shipping Lanes House. We can't wait to return!!

The Shipping Lanes home is a wonderful home with all the extras anyone could ever ask for. My family spent nine days and eight nights at the Shipping Lanes home over the Christmas holiday. Patti had everything beautifully decorated for Christmas and the pellet stove added the extra touch for a wonderful warm and cozy stay.
My husband enjoyed making breakfast in the great kitchen every morning while watching ships pass. We played board games every night and had a great time picking from the many choices. I would highly recommend the Shipping Lanes to anyone looking for a quiet get away or family get together. We are looking forward to our next visit.

What a great place! My family enjoyed the stay at this lovely and oh so comfy house over~lookin the water. It was a peaceful retreat and a very memorable stay. We'll definately be back! All amenities and more were included in this deal. It was VERY clean and maintained. The owners were friendly and quick to reply to any questions/concerns. I would definately recommend this getaway to any of my friends. Our favorite little spots are Port Gamble~and downtown Poulsbo~ Sluys Bakery~ YUM!
