Beautifully Maintained, Charming Cottage

The owners of this centrally-located cottage have created a beautiful little haven that is comfortably and tastefully furnished, with a full kitchen well stocked with tableware, utensils, and cookware, and even provide staples such as coffee, sugar, salt and pepper. The interior of this renovated cottage is virtually new and very clean, and guests enjoy a fenced, private patio with a gas barbeque and a lovely little fountain. The neighborhood is quiet, and the Craftsman cottages that are owner-tenanted are also well maintained. Finally, Mike and Sharon are gracious hosts who are very sociable, yet respect the privacy of their guests, and are generous with sharing the bounty of their tomato plants and lemon tree!

Quaint and Adorable!

This cottage for two is small but spacious enough to comfortably move around. It is nicely furnished and has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The bed is very comfortable and there is plenty of space to hang clothes in an extra room to the back of the main living area. There is a small laundry room making it very convenient to do laundry during longer stays. The private outside patio is a nice extension of the indoor living space. We lived in San Diego many years ago, in another part of the city, and had never explored the North Park area but found it very charming. Sharon and Mike (and Snookie) were very welcoming and we hope to return again sometime.

Delightful!

From the peaceful neighborhood, to the vegetable garden outside as well as the soothing cottage interior, this neighborhood and property were the perfect fit for our vacation. Sharon and Mike were helpful and friendly but also respected our privacy while here. I had recently sprained my foot and couldn't walk our doggies as much as I would have liked, so the grass in front of the cottage that is fenced in served as a welcomed part of this sanctuary. We were even supplied with a pooper-scooper and trash so I didn't have to keep hobbling to the back of the property with doggie bags. We are looking foward to another vacation here and already miss sipping coffee on the wonderful private patio. Thanks for a great stay!

This is the cutest cottage and in the perfect location! It's right near the Balboa Park, walkable to so many restaurants, bars and shopping and very close to downtown and the airport. Mike and Sharon did a great job making this cottage feel like home, and were very hospitable throughout the stay. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone coming to San Diego!

Love this place!

I needed a place within walking distance of my daughter & son-in-law & my new grandson. I looked at this cottage online plenty of times..could it be that nice? I was concerned, but no reason to be. It is a great cottage. Very cozy & comfortable, with everything you need...even zip-loc bags! I ran out of my shower get & there was some supplied in a nice basket in the bathroom. And the very cute bathroom has a heated floor! I turned the heat in the cottage off (prefer a cooler room at night) and the bathroom always felt warm with that nice floor. I am not even sure their description includes the wonderful back room...basically just a huge walk in closet...with a small closet with my own(well I guess it's own) washer & dryer.It kind of felt like my place...private, clean, cozy... It was a great place to stay, the pictures are very accurate. I love to walk -easy to get to Balboa Park, many restaurants to walk to. Mike & Sharon were very nice. I already have a reservation to go back!

Well, I have just returned from a week at this cozy, comfortable, charming cottage in San Diego located right on the North Park/South Park border (a great neighborhood!) ... and I wish that I were still ensconced in that little bit of heaven! The cottage is beautifully yet simply appointed with all the amenities needed for a home away from home. The owners, Sharon and Mike, are most gracious hosts allowing their guests privacy while at the same time being available for questions or a friendly chat from their front porch. Best of all was the lovely sound of water flowing softly through their Koi pond in the evening that lulled me in a deep, peaceful sleep. I highly recommend this cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to San Diego. The cottage provided the perfect accommodation. It is nicely decorated and comfortable, with a claw footed bathtub and amazingly cozy bed! The owners were readily available and responsive, and made us feel welcome. The cottage is located in a very nice, residential area, just a few minutes from Balboa Park and North Park shops and restaurants, and about 15 minutes from the downtown area and harbour. It is a wonderful place to stay. We'll be back!

The cottage is great. Perfect for one or two people. It's quiet and very comfortable. I loved staying here. You can easily walk to restaurants and the park. A wonderful place to call home.

This is a charmer, recently renovated and all that we needed for a long weekend visit. Contrary to the song, it does rain in southern california, and when it does, your host will arrive with large umbrellas and a floor mat. Nice!!
Bed is super comfortable, and we were glad, given the weather in January, to have a little cottage to gather and watch tv, play some cards, have a glass of wine at the end of the day. Balboa Park dog park is just a few blocks away - very entertaining - and the funky, fun neighborhood of N. Park just a few blocks the other direction. Lovely place, clean, etc. Don't hesistate to book!

I absolutely love this place!! I have enjoyed every time I have stayed here. The cottage is so cute and it is close to all amenities. I was able to walk to amazing restaurants and markets. The owners are very kind and the neighborhood is very quaint. I was very comfortable and would highly recommend this little gem to anyone.
