WOULD NOT RECOMMENDED ANYONE STAYING AT THIS CONDO
My husband, his mother, and I stayed at this condo from Friday, December 30th to Tuesday, January 3rd. Let me start by saying that Martin was amazing…he is a great guy. He did anything to make our stay a good one. Though, there are a lot of elements that are out of his control. Please know that I am a native Puerto Rican…so, I am going to tell you like it is. When we arrived at the condo on Friday, December 30th and we turned left on to the street where the condo was located… I immediately knew that this was not a safe location. We were greeted by street beggars (Luis and his buddies). This condo is located by a huge public housing in Puerta de Tierra (aka as “caserios”) in Puerto Rico. Caserios is where the lower class and most criminals in Puerto Rico live. Luis immediately approached us and make sure he was on our side (of course we had to give him money)…ONLY BY THE GRACE OF GOD NOTHING BAD HAPPEN TO US. But we stayed at this condo for four nights and we just simply could not sleep with all of the noise, gun shots, explosions, people screaming, police sirens, and fireworks. It was like been in a war zone. I am telling you…this is not a safe area…stay someplace else. Both my mom and dad when I told them where I was staying they were worried for our lives and so was I.
Other things about this condo: There is NO Microwave, NO Toaster, NO Ironing board or Iron, NO Mirrors in the bedrooms (just a little tiny mirror in the bathroom), NO Parking (the only parking available is on the street but especially on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday there is NO parking to be found. It was AWFUL), AND something that drove us crazy….THERE ARE NO WINDOWS TO LOOK OUTSIDE. Just a tiny window in the kitchen that faces walls of an outside patio. All of the other windows in the condo are gated. Do you know why??? Because the crime is so bad in that area. They don’t provide beach towels…so, bring your own. This is ridiculous because this area is beach oriented and with the airline weight limits it is hard to bring your own beach towels. I think this is something they should provide. Also, if you have bad allergies…there is a lot of mold everywhere. Especially in the bathroom. It is gross.
Few things that happen while we were there: The toilet was not flushing correctly, The water in the shower was so HOT and there was no pressure, The condo was not equipped with necessities (like antibacterial soap, body soap, toilet paper, etc.)
Owner's Response: I am shocked by this review! I am not sure how to respond to it. This client was exremely demanding before they actually ever entered the property. Starting with asking for access to a rooftop terrace that was never included with this apartment. We did provide them with an ocean view terrace in hopes that this would make their stay more enjoyable. We tried very hard to satisfy them we even went out and purchased antibacterial soap. We provide toilet paper, kitchen paper towels and a high quality bath soap but not anitbacterial. If this client had taken the time to actually read our ad, she would have known what amenties were included and possibly she would not have been upset about not having things that were never advertised. The apartment has a lot of windows, they are very operable and you can enjoy the sea breaze from them. We do have security features on our property that you will find through-out Puerto Rico. We want out guest to be and feel, safe. New Years Eve loud noise firecrackers? I do not know about gunshots, I suppose anything is possible but this guest has made some statements that are far from the truth. Please read all of our reviews before judging us by this one.
