Our family has lived in San Luis Obispo since the mid- 1950's and we purchased this ranch in the early 1970's. After retiring from his medical practice, our father built his dream house on the ranch and moved there to raise British White Park Cattle. The descendents of those original cattle still graze on the property. We have decided to offer the property as a vacation rental because of its unique character and ideal location near the City of SLO.
The single most striking aspect of the property is the serenity one experiences while there. The only sounds you're likely to hear are the wind in the oak trees, cawing crows, squawking bluejays, the occasional scream of a hunting red-tail hawk , maybe a coyote in the evening and the distant sound of a train as it makes its way up or down Cuesta Grade. The outside world feels very far away even though, in reality, the City of SLO is just a short five minute drive away.
