Photos and Description of the Boston vacation condo rental
3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 5

PICTURESQUE BEACON HILL, BOSTON'S HISTORIC CENTER! This 1,100 square foot, 3 bedroom condominium in the heart of Beacon Hill is perfectly situated for those wishing to enjoy the best of Boston. Occupying the 3rd and 4th floors of a small 19th century building, the recently renovated condo offers charm and comfort. High ceilings, wood floors throughout and lots of light from the many windows are the setting for an eclectic mix of antique and modern furniture, plenty of books and art.

YOU WON'T NEED A CAR! Step out of the condo and you will find a day spa and yoga studio at street level. Walk to everything! One short block to Charles Street, with its cafes, boutiques, antique galleries and restaurants. Two blocks to the Public Garden, or to the Boston Common. Enjoy the Swan Boats in the summer, or walk to skating on Frog Pond in winter. Stroll down to the Esplanade and go for a run along the Charles River for a great view of the Boston skyline.

Boston's excellent subway system is just minutes away. Only 3 stops on the Red Line and you are in Harvard Square, or catch the Green Line to the MFA. In the summer, you will enjoy the comfort of central air conditioning and the views from the private roof deck. The small, but nicely fitted kitchen has everything for those who like to cook, including 2 ovens. In the marble-tiled bathroom, we replaced the bathtub with a large glass-enclosed shower with a bench and a rain-shower head. The 2 larger bedrooms have new queen mattresses, and the smaller bedroom has one twin bed.

The location and apartment itself was exactly what we were looking for. Walk to everything with all the action right at your doorstep. Enjoyed watching folks stroll down Charles Street from the roof-top deck. Did all our shopping for the week right around the corner. Wife had a facial and massage literally next door! Great dining all around this place. You simply cannot go wrong with this one. The proprietor, Caroline, is also a pleasure to work with and made an excellent day trip reccomendation for us! Look forward to returning.

Family Sightseeing Visit--August 13-16, 2012

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this Beacon Hill apartment the second week of August. We could not have asked for better accommodations or location. The apartment is exactly as described. The reservation process was seemless and the owner, Caroline, went out of her way to be helpful. The apartment is steps away from Boston Common, the Public Gardens, and Charles Street. There was absolutely no need for a rental car. The Redline T stop is only a short walk up Charles Street and the Greenline T stop is a short walk across the Common. There are plently of restaurants nearby, owner-operated coffee shops, two Starbucks, and small grocery stores. We will definitely consider this apartment for our next stay in Boston and will recommend it highly to our friends.

Wonderful apartment in an excellet location

My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in this wonderful apartment for a week while we were in Boston in June 2012 for my husband's college reunion.

The apartment was clean and had amazing light throughout. It really is as described in the listing and the photos. The roof terrace is a fabulous addition and we spent many evenings out there having a drink before we headed out or in fact staying in and having dinner while looking out across the roof tops of Beacon Hill.

The location is amazing - a very short walk to Boston Common and everything you could possibly need can be found in Charles Street. It really is a lovely neighbourhood of Boston!

Caroline was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process which made the booking, check in and check out very easy.

The only thing to note is that the property has quite a lot of stairs - this did not bother us at all but if stairs are a problem for you it is worth considering this.

I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and in fact we would look to stay at the apartment for the next reunion!

Boston At Your Leisure

5 of 5
Submitted: June 21, 2012 Stayed: June 2012
My husband and I stayed in the condo for a week in June. We had guests for several nights. The
location could not have been better. A 5 minute walk to the T (Park Street or Charles Street stations)
allowed us to visit Harvard and the Museum District easily but, mostly, we enjoyed leisurely strolls to
the Commons, Quincy Market, even the waterfront. The Esplanade is a few block aways and is an excellent running/walking trail with views of sailboats performing practice maneuvers. An unexpected highlight was Charles Street, which the condo overlooked from the kitchen, dining room and our bedroom. Here we found restaurants (Tuscano was amazing) of all types and price levels, a very helpful market (Charles Street Market), dry cleaners, and small shops to browse.

The condo is so comfortable and clean. The two bedrooms are spacious, with plenty of closet and drawer space. We were a little concerned about sharing a bathroom with everyone but, with the large
shower and counter space, no problem. It was especially nice to have the washer/dryer and go home with clean clothes. A completely updated kitchen, stocked with cooking essentials, allowed us to cook breakfast daily and keep snacks to refuel after all that walking! As mentioned by the website, there are
lots of stairs but we enjoyed being above the street. Last but not least, there are bookshelves in every room with an eclectic collection that has something for everyone.

If you want to explore as much as Boston as you can, or just relax for a few days, this is the place.

Beacon Hill is the perfect location to be while visiting Boston. Being within blocks of the Boston Common and the Esplanade is magnificent. Tourists can catch the Freedom Trail tour from the Boston Common. 4 T-stops are within walking distance from this location so that's perfect for getting away to anywhere in Boston. The condo itself is very accommodating for 5 adults (although sharing one bathroom can get tricky if you're in a hurry). The owner is very conscientious and a terrific communicator. This rental is highly recommended for anyone who doesn't mind managing lots of stairs. Being a block off Charles Street gives you access to many fine restaurants and shops.

The location is perfect for access to Boston sites. It is within walking distance to 4 different T-stops which will take you any where in Boston. And being adjacent to Boston Common and the Esplanade is like heaven. The condo is quite comfortable for 4-5 adults although sharing one bathroom can be quite tricky at times. Our family shared the condo to celebrate our son's graduation from Harvard Law School (which is very easy to get to on the T). It was a perfect place to spend family time for a week of celebration and much more comfortable than multiple hotel rooms. There are many excellent restaurants in the area within walking distance which is crucial if you plan on drinking. Wireless access to the internet is provided which is a must for my techie family. The owner provided excellent customer service from the initial rental inquiry to the return of the security deposit. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone who is capable of walking up/down three flights of stairs. We didn't have to go to the gym at all because we got all of our exercise walking around the city and climbing stairs in the condo, T-stops, and Boston historic sites. And we never once missed our California cars during the week we were here!

Quiet and Great Location

We stayed at this quiet condo during college graduation festivities for our son. I only wish we had found this gem sooner, while he was still in college. We would have chosen to stay here everytime we were in Boston. The condo is exactly as it is described and more. The location is perfect, the T is nearby. There are several tasty restaurants a short walk away with several different price options. We enjoyed the Paramount, as it transforms from a coffee shop to delicious dinner with a low key atmosphere. Figs and Tuscano were also delicious. I have already recommended this condo to several friends.

I forgot to leave a review on this wonderful apartment until now. My husband and I stayed here over Christmas with my son and his partner. The location was perfect nestled in a little village within the city. The apartment was cozy and nicely outfitted. The owner was great with communications and so easy to work with. We would happily recommend it to anyone.

Thank you, Caroline, for a beautiful condo in a beautiful city. Our group of four began to feel like we were Beacon Hillers! Coming from a smaller town in Florida, we were able to get a sense of being a city resident. Your condo is absolutely lovely.

Fabulous stay in Central Boston

We had a great time in Caroline's condo. The location is excellent, close to Boston Common, the Charles river and to more great restaurants than you will ever have time to visit. Toscano and Figs were great for dinner and we had a lovely breakfast in Paramount
The apartment was great, spotlessly clean and with spacious rooms, well furnished and a great kitchen so it was a pleasure to stay in one night and cook.
There are lots of great shops in Beacon Hill and the Charles street Market store for groceries is very close by.
The roof top terrace was a wonderful place to relax and the weather was great for this if a little cool.
We didn't have time to do much sightseeing but just enjoyed walking and exploring. The kids greatly enjoyed the England Aquarium and also teh whale watch.
We had to leave too soon but if we get a chance to return this apartment will be first choice.
