Perfect home!

What can we say!! The perfect home for our whole family - the photos only tell part of the story!! The beds super comfy, the wonderful table where we enjoyed many great meals, sharing & playing games, great towels & bedding, hot tub that was used daily by all, fully stocked kitchen (loved the cookware). We all enjoyed the wildlife, especially the fox, raccoon that come right up to the sliding door (if I'd have opened it, that critter would have come in to help himself !). The grandkids loved the loft that provided fun play & quiet time. Loved the cheerful flowers in the courtyards. The boys went fishing & caught a couple of sea trout that we had for dinner (they also caught an eel but opted to throw it back). Papa & I stayed in the lovely cottage. We will definitely stay again. Thanks to you both for sharing your wonderful getaway home and being so accommodating. The only negative is that we're not there right now :(

Wonderful visit in rainy June

We spent 3 days at Avalon last weekend and enjoyed every minute of it, even the rainy time. The house was just as described and in some ways even nicer. The master bedroom and one other are in the main house along with a large loft with a queen-size bed looking over the main living space. Our daughters and their family stayed in the main house. My husband and I stayed in the cottage in the back. The home was clean, fresh and well equipped. The hot tub was enjoyed by all. Best of all was sitting in the living room and looking out to the golf course and ocean beyond. We were surrounded by trees, birds and deer. Our favorite was the fox that visited us and stuck around a bit. We'll definitely stay at Avalon again when we return to the Sea Ranch!

Rest and relaxation

The house was everything we had hoped for and more. The beds were super comfy and the views amazing. The dining table is a great place for meals and card games. The couch was large and very cozy too. We enjoyed having the cottage because it felt like our own private retreat from the rest of our group and it had an amazing view. The kids absolutely loved the upstairs loft which was roomier than expected and had a great play area for them to enjoy. The master was huge and had plenty of room for the porta-crib which came in handy(less to pack) We had deer come up to the front deck every day!!! Ithe location was great too. Close to trails and a short drive to the stores. The house came with everything we needed to enjoy ourselves...only thing bad was having to leave!!!

Peace and Relaxation

The accommodations were lovely and the home was in a peaceful location surrounded by deer. My boys loved the loft and the cottage. The cottage became the most popular place for a mid-afternoon nap. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect home for our week long get away..

Great accommodation with huge relaxed open plan living room for hanging out with family or friends. Massive sofa and real fire for cold nights with a great spot to look out for Whales. Amazingly well equipped kitchen for every eventuality and large rooms with plenty of bathrooms for all.
Close by Gualala has stores and pub/food places and a Fantastic old Bar in the Hotel.
Great cliff top, beach, river and forest walks with scope for so much more. A really special place!!
I'm just trying to save up for my next trip.

.We Love Avalon! We've been staying here for years and it's still as lovely as the first time - actually better as owners have made many improvements over the years. Our family loves the large great room! It has the most comfortable sofa sectional I've ever had the pleasure to nap on (naps 3 adults, 4 with snugglers) The long dinning table is great and the dining chairs are comfortable for those late night card games. The picture window with yet another sofa (not shown in photos) is also a favorite with its view out to the Sea. Even with a full house there is always plenty of space to be all together or have some quiet time alone. The house is always very well equipped in the kitchen as well as plenty of towels, pillows and comforters. Oh, and lastly I really enjoy the hot tub, it's a great place to star gaze.
