Love This Beach House!!
My husband and I had an amazing two weeks staying at this adorable, spacious beach house. It has great decor, wonderful location, and it is very clean. I love this key west style house, so charming! It just says "vacation". We walked about 20 steps, crossed the street and there we were on the beautiful white sandy beach with crystal blue water. The best part of this beach is that there are no hotels near by, just a few vacation condos so we had plenty of room on the beach to spread out, we never felt crowded, and we always had a peaceful view of the Gulf. We saw dolphins in the water several days. There is a small shipwreck dive site directly out into the gulf from this beach area and the dolphins love to play there. We rented stand up paddleboards from a rental company right off the beach, about a 5 minute walk down the beach. The experience was amazing! It was fun to try something new. They also rent ocean kayaks (very reasonable). There is yoga, massage, and parasailing available on this beach as well. I tried the yoga on Sunday morning and I loved it. The fee was a donation ($5-$10). Since the house is so close, we could relax on the beach, walk back to the house and have lunch, then go back out to the beach to relax. In the evening, we enjoyed walking to the local restaurants for dinner. We walked to The Sun House, The Beach House, and Rotten Ralphs. All of these restaurants provided indoor and outdoor seating with great views. After dinner we normally would walk down Bridge Street, look in a few shops, then walk down to the fishing pier. Then we would get ice cream and walk the beach for the sunset. There is an amazing breakfast place just steps away from the house too. The restaurant is Gulf Drive Cafe, located on the beach. They are famous for their Belgian Waffles which are sinfully delicious. The Gulf Drive also just opened a Tiki Bar that has entertainment on some nights. We walked over and listened to a Beatles cover band one night, it was a lot of fun. The Beach House has some nightly entertainment as well. Publix is about a 10 minute drive from the house, so on nights that we wanted to stay in and cook, we could do that as well. Anna Maria Island is a short drive away. We had fun walking the long pier and having lunch at the restaurant on that pier. One day we took a 30 minute drive down longboat key, and we went to St. Armands. This is an amazing circle of upscale shops and restaurants. Love this beach house!!!
