This apartment is a quiet oasis in the center of San Francisco, mere steps away from the bustle of the Haight-Ashbury district and all of its shops, restaurants and nightlife. It is one block from Golden Gate Park, and a short walk to all of the museums and attractions therein. For those wishing to explore 'the City' (as locals call it) by public transportation, there are stops for major transit lines about a block away that will get you anywhere from Ocean Beach to Fishermans Wharf, and all points in between. If you are visiting on business, a nearby bus will take you directly to the Financial District. The apartment is also very close to UCSF Medical Center, the University of San Francisco (USF) and Saint Marys Medical Center.
San Francisco is a world-class city, with something for everyone. Every neighborhood has its own particular flavor, with amazing sights and sounds around every corner. If you are coming to San Francisco, relax, enjoy, explore...and WELCOME!
The Apartment: Your peaceful hideaway from the hustle and bustle of city life starts with a walk-through (but still spacious) fully-equipped kitchen, and a connected eating area with beautiful stained glass, a view of the gorgeous backyard, and seating for 4. The living room also contains a desk/work area and the bedrooms (1 Queen, 1 Full/Double) are cozy and inviting. The backyard is perfect for morning coffee, afternoon barbeques, or simply lounging at any time during the day and planning your next adventures.
Golden Gate Park: The apartment is ideally located to explore San Francisco: a 1 block walk leads to Golden Gate Park, which includes such sights as: the Conservatory of Flowers, Academy of Sciences, M.H. de Young Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, and the Arboretum (Botanical Garden); as well as such activities as: a children-only playground, archery, biking and skating, golf, horseback riding, lawn bowling, tennis, fly-fishing, and plenty of spots for a wonderful picnic. The park is larger than New York's Central Park, and is covered with more than one million trees and contains its own herd of bison.
Transportation: A car is not necessary with this very centrally located apartment. If you tire of walking, taxicabs are plentiful, and San Francisco’s public transportation system is easy and intuitive. Having a bus stop one block away from the flat makes travel to Ocean Beach, shopping downtown at boutiques or the mall, the Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf, etc. a snap. If you're coming for business or a convention, there is direct bus service to Downtown one block away. Finally, if you do bring a car there is permitted street parking, but also some sections where you may leave a car parked for a full week without a permit.
